I'd drawn Mirror Shield in my opening hand and new that I had a solid counter in hand to a potential damsel rush. I dropped an Angel and the Mirror Shield on turn two and quickly outstripped his damage. He eventually played a dragon, but my angels kept coming.
Game #2 = WinNo mirror in my opening hand had me worried - but I drew it at card 9. I got a little damage in play but no dragons for him meant that the nymph I dropped on turn 5 or so kept me close to 100HP for a long time. Despite not drawing much damage this game I managed to stall long enough with the nymph a miracle and the shield to eke out a win.
Game #3 = LossNo shield to be found - early fractal for ian. I did get the shield eventually and my damage just kept rolling in the end he topdecked the damage he needed to beat me by a turn.
Game #4 = WinShield in my opening hand again, dropped a turn 3 Angel and Shield, followed by and angel or a nymph every turn for the rest of the game. A very solid draw by me, combined with no Damsel or Fractal in his opening hand and it made for an easy game.
