Game 1: Barely won by 2 HP, very close game. Win
Game 2: Terrible hand and draws, and he got a pretty speedy start. Loss
Game 3: Desync, but I won it on my side by 2 hp yet again.
Game 4: Desync happened early but I said we should continue playing, I ended up winning on my side but he ended up not playing it due to what I think was a misunderstanding. Team voted and we decided to claim the win.

Needless to say, dark_ripper handled the game 4 situation very maturely, he was very understanding. Great games Dark_ripper, very close.

I knew, that with decent draws i could not lose this one as soon as i saw the time mark.

Game 1: bad start for me, pretty good for shinki, leading to a close game, in the last turn with a nova i would win, i was one quantum short to summon an rt'd shrieker. 2hp for shinki.

Game 2: Good draw, not much to say, 7ttw.

Game 3: Bad draw, no novas, then desync

Played the ai. Again with a nova I would win.

Game 4: Desync on turn 2. I left the game without playing the ai. Turns out even on turn two, playing the ai is required. My bad there, shinki claimed the win and took it.

GGs, it could be a lot more interesting.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. This matchup was more like 65-35% in our favor. Rng didn't want us to win :/

Ouch. I have when games come down to playing vs. AI.
I'll be honest here: I dont think we could have won without the desynch rule. Definitely not 3-1.
Still, a rule is a rule I guess.
Either way, this is a sad thing.

When a desync happens early in the game (like in first 1-2 turns),shouldn't both players agree to play vs AI for that to happen?

I seem to remember that  desyncs are rematch by default when happened early,and only when the game has proggessed enough you play vs AI (or a player has a clear advantage at winning,then he gets a win).

Anyway,my advice to rippy for further rounds would be to not be so "good" . Sportmanship and maturity is one thing (which I support), losing like that is not.

Weren't any member of team earth online at the time of duel to help rippy ?

While the tradition is usually a replay when desynch, the rule itself is to play vs. AI. So Shiniki didnt do nothing wrong. I think the optimal solution was somehow lost in miscommunication.

Well this duel should serve as a lesson for everyone for the rest of the war for what to do if a desync happens.

It's just a lot better sportsmanship to replay, also usually saves a lot of time if both players agree because most of the time both players win against the AI and are forced to replay anyway. I think Shinki, under normal circumstances, would accept a replay tbf but where he's down three upgrades and this is a rather important match, its very clear to see why they would take the win. GGs.
