GGs Brusterix! Nothing you could have done. Gravity Pull would have countered this deck though with... just a bit of damage.

Yeah, 3 loses basically just decking out without proper way to fight back :(

Let's do some math afterwards, why this didn't work out, although it looks like it could.

Opponent had 6 flying staves. I only had 3 gravity pulls, so I could only take down 3 of those staves -> Not working tactic.

I could put gravity pull into first flying staff 2/7, and attack with ONLY ONE abomination, so I could eat it with otyugh on next round. Now that I have one 1/6 otyugh, I need to repeat that and eat my otyugh into size 2/7. After that using gravity pull third time, attacking kills staff instantly (abomination 5/5 + otyugh 2/7), so only way to get otyugh to size 3/8 was to then eat own abomination or second otyugh. That 3/8 could then eat all flying staves alone, and bring victory in theory.

Needing all this happen before I could bring down the HP from opponent, caused me to deckout each time. Bad draws meant I wasted half of the deck before this condition was even close to be met. It just didn't work out at all; the deck was not suitable for this job after all :(

Discord + blackhole combo slowed opponent down a bit, and kept me alive longer, but had nothing to do to get victory in this case.

Perhaps only way to beat that deck was to rush with 4 abominations, hoping there is no any adrenalined flying staff around or gravity pull them down instantly, but those 4 abonimations should have been at starting hand or something, so it was not an option in any round. The damage output was basically just too lame to even counter opponent having one jade staff in weapon slot.

A totally correct analysis, and probably very interesting insight for the rest here. Thanks, I wish that'd be done more often here!

Yes, time zone was a bit of problem this time, as you may have just waken up, and no idea when you log in today as no reply, but I need to get into bed already and I'm still at work when dual phase ends tomorrow. I saw Marsu in chat, so started asking about your presence and substitute, so we just decided to play that right away. Well, technically you won, and no penalties for either teams, so no big harm done here I quess.

Not off or on, but side-topic: Also timestamps of this forum posts (and PMs) are in different time zone than mine (can't find settings for it), so it is confusing to know when something has been send/post anyway, was it 5 min or 5 hours ago?

Rather off-topic, but...
Profile -> Modify Profile -> Look and Layout -> Time Offset
So they're only displayed as GMT if you didn't change those settings :p

Nice to see DBH lose vs something fun btw(dat deflag splash), I hate DBH ;D

it was 5 mins ago in reply to your pm...

I didn't mean I didn't know when your PM was sent, I meant overall timestamp issue for me in earlier posts. About your PM, I actually was already chatting with Marsu and preparing to duel as you sent that message, so I totally missed it, so that was my bad. Noticed that only when you posted comment into this thread  ?_?

ps. Thanks TheonlyrealBeef, got time things set up, also got rid of am/pm ;) (I do have only 10+ posts, and have not had time to use this forum much yet, so easy to miss like everything it seems)
