I did a bunch of testing like this, before I found this thread.  Unfortunately I can't find my test results, but from what I remember, the Immolation / Lava Golem type of decks were the fastest.  I got the best win/loss ratio with the Life rush/adrenaline deck.   For new players, I think the Life rush / adrenaline deck would be the best way to grind Level 3 as it is very fast, easy to play, has a very high win/loss ratio and it is relatively cheap.

Here are my results, using the mono-life deck from the 101 thread:
Played 59 games
Won 55
Lost 4

Electrum earned 879
Cards won:
Lycanthrope
Vulture
Boneyard
Poison
Heal
Ash Eater
Fire bolt x2
Fire Shield
Golden Dragon
Azure Dragon
Fate Egg
Golden Hourglass
Spark x3
Parallel Universe

Value of cards if sold: 626
Total income = 1505, enough to upgrade one card.

Found this deck to be easier and more fun than graboid/shrieker rush, only really loses against Quanta denial entropy decks and annoying shields (Procrastination/Ice shield especially)

The mono-losts to Procastination and Ice Shield? I laugh in the face of those guys seen my creatures attack even with those shields in play.
Poisons and Fire Shield are the ones to worry.

The mono-losts to Procastination and Ice Shield?
Procrastination and Ice Shield are two of the strongest shields in the game.

Procrastination effectively HALVES the damage output of creatures, and, perhaps more importantly, it also halves the output of skills that creatures can use.

Ice Shield reduces a great amount of damage and knocks out bigger creatures cold for 3 turns. That is massive. It can singlehandedly reduce a deadly spam deck into a minor annoyance; it's basically the ultimate offensive stopper, which is what shields are designed to do.

Yeah but they're talking about mono life with Adrenaline icy, which should shred through both of those shields.

But Ice Shield reduces 2 damage... the creatures should still be very much impeded by it.

Ice shield reduces damage by 1, and blocks on average 9 of 19 attacks.

Anyway, the water and time decks were my most common opponent in my run, and they usually weren't that much trouble.
The reverse times are more annoying than the shield, really.

The entropy foe is always a bother. An early discord is difficult to overcome, though thankfully there's only one of them.
The devourers slow you down a bit, but they aren't too bad. Chaos seed can hurt a lot though.
At least the demons aren't an issue for frog-atrice rush, unlike for most other lvl3 farmers.

As for Reverse Time I just play the Cockatrice (or something like that). But lately it seems that the AI is targetting my Adrenalined Frogs more often, even when a Cockatrice is in play.
I wonder if the Elders attended to some thinking classes.

I tested some of the best grinders for 60 minutes each. I skipped spins because the cards you win from spins have nothing to do with how fast the deck is.

Graboids rush: 45 wins, 4 losses, 620 gold
Mono-life rush: 46 wins, 1 losses, 719 gold
Plastiqe's deck: 48 wins, 3 losses, 769 gold

It looks like plastiqe's deck is the best.  :)

Additionally, plastique's deck is also fast enough to take top 50 rainbows.
