I definitely approve of the predetermined rulesets. Something like an average of 2 weeks per round seems fairly good, and would roughly fit within the 3 month span. Some variations will probably be necessary, as there are other factors, like the group rounds will take longer than individual rounds, for instance, plus we don't want someone losing a later round just because they didn't have adequate time to prepare.
I'm not sure what to suggest for some of the individual round rules, but something about them didn't quite sit right with me. I can't quite put my finger on it, though. If I can think of something more constructive to say than that, I'll be sure to mention it. Part of it was that all of the rounds felt so similar to each other with the nearly identical mono/duo rules and so forth.
There was also some brief discussion in other threads and chat about the size of the prizes for this event. I don't think that the prizes are too unreasonable; they seem large compared to leagues/tourneys, but then, I think that leagues should have bigger prizes than they do, and I think that other events should have some prizes as well, so I'd argue that other events should have increased prizes, rather than the world championship have decreased ones.
