Elements PvP Tournament - Your ideas!

Why don't we do a tournament where you can only use cards that begin with letters in your game name (or forum name, i don't know which we should use)?  You will know your opponent 10 mins ahead of time, so you know what cards he can use and how to prep your strategy.  Might be interesting.

Also, maybe a tourney where you can only use creatures that combine 2 elements (like devourers that can burrow for  quanta, or parasites that poison with )  Also, you could only use a mark that none of your creatures used, and all permanents and spells would be allowed.  Also, the deck could not cost over X    This way it would be fair especially to the newbies, but also interesting.

About your second idea, someone must have beaten you to it already- the tournament two weeks ago was exactly that, without the cost restriction and with a couple bans for consistency and balance.

About using cards that begin with letters of name... seems imbalanced to me. Especially since my IGN has no letters in it.

Instead, maybe each person could pick a (real) name, and use that name for the cards  that begin with those letters.

FYI, using cards that start with letters from the name of a member has already been done a few times. And the very next tournament is going to use this theme too. Coincidence?

I imagine you folks have about everything covered by now.  So, forgive me if it's been suggested.

Slugfest:  Wins before turn 15 are counted as losses.

Sore Loser:  Loser picks a card from winners deck (non-pillar/tower), opposing player cannot play that card next match.

Gladiator's curse:  Each player picks a card, opposing player has to put 5 copies of that card in their deck.

Speed building Arena style

Rules:
- No upgrades
- No shards
- Before each round TO will announce a card that you must have 5 of each in every match in that round.
- If somebody does not have 5 of TO annouced card (and can't afford to buy them), then he/she can ask TO to give him/her and his/hers opponent an other realy cheap card (not pillars of course).

Elements the Gathering

-Minimum deck size is 40
-No Card except Pends & Pillars may be used more than 4 times.
(-Quantum Pillars are banned.)

Simple rules, fun decks.

Only creatures with combined HP + Attack less than 10 are allowed.
-Mutation, Fate Egg, Fallen Elf, Chimera, Nymphs tear, and Scarabs are also banned.
-Creatures that can increase their hp or attack are banned (lycanthrope forest spirit, steam machine, etc.)
-Cards that increase hp or attack of creatures are banned: BB, Blessing, Plate armor, momentum, nightfall, etc.
-Weapons with combined flown stats > 10 are also banned.

How about...

Fester-fest ((Name may be changed.))

• Only creatures with effects that poison the player or other creatures are allowed(Dune scorpion, Black Nymph, Chrysaora, Toadfish, etc.
• All weapons are banned(Even arsenic, so as not to Element hate/favor.)
• Purify is banned(Can be removed, or switched to only 1 per deck.)
• Cards that can deal non-poison damage(Fire Bolt, Unstable gas, Catapult, etc.) or create non-poisonous creatures(Boneyard, Mutation, etc.) are banned.
• ((Insert more generic banned cards where needed.))

Another idea I have...

Ragnarok

• Your deck must contain two(And only two) elements. Aether, and another of your choice.(Can be switched between games, as long as your deck contains Aether and exactly one other element.)
• Your deck must contain at least ten cards of Aether, and ten cards of the element you chose. (For the purposes of deckbuilding, Spark is not considered Aether.)(This can be changed to a percentage, or number of cards increased)
• Your mark must be of Aether or your other element.
• Played in the game, Marks count as pillars of their element.
• Dimensional Shield/Phase Shield and Mindgate are banned(The Mindgate ban can be removed if needed).
• ((Insert Genuine banned list here where needed.))

Upped or Unupped, these are my ideas.
