Yep, I felt that they are not in the list because of balance reasons, so my comment was mainly scientific -
novas/supernovas being the brightest objects in the known Universe. Kinda ironic.

I dont see anything broken regardless of upgrades, so I left that open. I default to suggest 12 upgrades, but anything works

I used to be like you and always ask for number of upgrades in WFR, but sometimes it's unnecessary. When no other upgrade rules are specified it's up to the players, if neither has a preference make it 12

I would backpedal. It is already Thursday, pretty pointless to change a weekly rule now,
plus I made myself comfortable with the rules - don't know how others feel.
