I'm not entirely certain of the reason you can't play in both leagues, actually.  I'm assuming that it is to keep people from winning prizes in both leagues in a season and thus reduce the number of players getting prizes.  If you could play in both leagues, I would, for one.  But yeah, so far in CL, there are two games posted, and it's the same two players that played against each other both times.  CL has been smaller ever since I joined leagues, due to the more difficult requirement of having lots of upgraded cards, but there's something else at play this season; people are choosing not to play CL for some other reason.  Personally, I did two seasons in CL first, and then I got tired of the meta, so I switched to BL for a season so that I could use new decks, and I stayed because of the greater number of players.

If the problem is that people can win both leagues, that could be solved by letting players who are top 6 in both leagues only gets prize from one league at the end, with their top placement taking precedence. They are then dropped from the other league to allow for other prize takers. Not sure if this is the best solution, but as others have said, There are very few players in CL, and I would certainly play some CL games too, mostly for fun, if participation in both leagues were allowed.

I certainly would like that, but when we had that discussion last season or the season before that, the problem was pointed out to be that many people would start to tryhard in one league and troll for fun in the other, making it the most effective thing for someone wanting to win a league to just "farm the trolls", and giving an overall unrepresentative score.

Still more than 2 months left in leagues - why not wait a bit?  I know I will be joining CL soon.  War takes a lot of time to do right and many active PVP'ers are likely just not undertaking league matches until War dies down or a rhythm/routine is in place for War.

  Also, what Marsu stated seems fairly accurate.

Actually, that's a fair point; with War having just started, many players who are in War and want to join leagues may be giving that precedence for now.  It might be fairer to have the discussion in awhile after some of the teams are eliminated, and more players are freed up from that.

not only that, with priorities - i am still preparing to enter BL, making sure i have other things set first (even though i plan to play my first BL as more of fun play than try to win as many as i can)

i'm sure others are also just not ready yet

I can only speak for my personal experience -- reasons may be totally different for others.
So, I have been in previous CL and decided not to join again. Why ?

First of all I joined CL previous season to have a chance to compete using unrestricted meta, focusing specifically on upped shard decks, because that is something deliberately excluded from all other events. What I found is that it was not only very hard to find matches due to low participation, but when I did find somebody to play CL, they would request to ban shards most of the time. Only 3-4 players were OK to play with shards. I won most of those games, but I lost practically all the restricted ones. As a result I kept drifting down on the ladder, plus the top positions were mostly held by people whom I could never find to duel due to time-zone differences.

After this experience I see no point joining CL.

Make sure you remember that bans are NOT REQUIRED.  If the match is agreed to and just in "discussing bans" phase, the match MUST happen.  Essentially, rules are quite clear if opponent agrees to play the ban discussion is a courtesy only.  If you want no bans stick to it.  The opponent must acquiesce to your demand for no-bans or else forfeit the match.

Summary:  Don't let others wishing CL to be restricted meta stop you from joining for the unrestricted meta aspect.

I would find it fun to make a single league, with semi-upped, the player could choose two cards and have up to 6 copies of the chosen cards.
so also would remain the codes mark / nymphs to the top 5 (3 codes to winner, 2 codes to second and 1 code for 3rd, 4th, 5th and places.

Will the people who are experiencing this PvP bug that's going around get a bit of leeway when it comes to match number? I haven't completed enough matches (I don't think) and until this bug is fixed, I won't be able to complete any more.

To answer this question... no, unless if the PvP bug stays around for an extended period of time. There's still a month left in leagues after all. If there's other problems, there is precedent for prorating games, so do feel free to tell one of us LOs.
