PvP ParasitesPvP Parasites is a new
warning system that we will now start to use. The goal is to help all community PvP functions run more smoothly by limiting disruptive factors such as players quitting on a whim, or refusing to follow the instructions of the organizers.
If you have a PvP Parasite, you cannot join any Elements community PvP function until they are gone. If you are already participating in a function you will be allowed to complete it, but you may not join any future functions until the Parasites are removed.
Getting ParasitesPvP Parasites are basically warnings that are given when you disrupt a PvP function in some way. These disruptions can range from starting a huge argument over some ruling, to having to quit a function because of real life issues. Please note that PvP Parasites are given even if you have a "good reason". This is because we cannot confirm that your reason is true, and even if we could,
why you disrupted the function does not change the fact that you did disrupt it.
Players will be given 1 to 3 Parasites depending on the severity of the infraction.
Minor Infraction:
A minor infraction will be given to a player who exhibits actions which are disruptive but not to a large extent. Some actions that can result in a 1 Parasite penalty are continuous complaining or arguing about the rules or a ruling, refusal to take instructions from the organizer, or general bad behavior that lessen the enjoyment of the function for others.
Moderate Infraction:
A moderate infraction will be given to a player who exhibits actions that cause a significant disruption. Some actions that can result in a 2 Parasite penalty are quitting for any reason without drama, becoming inactive for an extended period of time, or general bad behavior that has a disruptive effect towards other players.
Major Infraction:
A major infraction will be given to a player who exhibits actions that cause a severe disruption. Some actions that can result in a 3 Parasite penalty are "rage quitting", quitting while causing drama, or general bad behavior that has a severe disruptive effect towards other players.
You may receive PvP Parasites from multiple sources simultaneously, such as quitting several functions at once. These penalties will stack but a player may never accumulate more than 3 PvP Parasites at any time. This means the longest ban a player can receive is 3 months, or 90 days.
Tournament Organizers will now also be able to issue a 1 week ban that will apply to Tournaments only at their discretion.
Removing ParasitesPvP Parasites disappear over time. Each PvP Parasite lasts for
1 month. This means that if you get one Parasite today, in 30 days that Parasite will be gone. If you get two Parasites, you must wait for 2 months until you can join a PvP event. You cannot have more than 1 PvP Parasite removed every 30 days.
PvP FunctionsThe following is a list of community PvP functions. A PvP Parasite will ban a player from participating in any of these functions until it is removed. Players may also be given PvP Parasites during any of these functions. PvP Parasites may also apply to any function not listed here, at the discretion of the organizer(s).
- PvP Events
- PvP Leagues (Beginner's League and Champion's League)
- Weekly Tournaments
- War
- Trials
PvP Parasite ListA public PvP Parasite list will be posted using the following format:
This list will be public to allow users who have been given a PvP Parasite to see when it will be removed. Making the list public will also hopefully help deter disruptive player from players.
Please understand that getting a PvP Parasite is not a big deal. The Parasites will disappear after time, and nobody will even remember that they existed after that. The purpose is not to brand players as troublemakers, the idea is to help make all our community PvP functions run more smoothly for
everyone.
