Archived Decks / Re: Mitosis/SoR/Dragon Rush
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:43:29 pm »
Firstly, thanks for the analysis Mithcairion- it was in depth and appreciated. Secondly- yeah, I agree with you. If you notice the screenshot I edited into the OP, I started testing the deck out as mono-life and it worked a lot better with the leaf dragons replaced with heals/emerald towers. Perm control is still a problem though. I may splash in some fire pendulums for deflag and light CC- also, you can rage potion the dragons I suppose...

I'll try and see if I can rework this to have some synergy with fire's utility without giving up too much speed.

Archived Decks / Mitosis/SoR/Dragon Rush

EDIT: This should be moved to mono-life; I am dumb. Sorry :(

As usual, I find myself coming up with interesting deck ideas but completely lacking the capability to balance them. Take a look:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7af 7af 7af 7af 7ak 7ak 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 8pn

(The ???s are Mitosis)

Basically, the idea is to rush to a Jade Dragon (that's what the Leaf Dragons/light quanta is there for), hit it with Mitosis and then a Shard of Readiness. Then pop out more dragons for free and repeat the Mitosis/Shard of Readiness combo.

Yes, it's a 3 card combo. Yes, it's vulnerable to creature control. The idea is to get it moving faster/more reliably though, so you can overwhelm your opponent with dragons before they can lock you down. I've seen something similar done with other life rush decks, but I figured why not get the most bang possible out of the Shard of Readiness.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This may just be better off as a mono-life, I'll test it more tomorrow. However, Phase Shields are still a bit of a problololololbem .

I'm playing a variant of Twin's Nymph deck, running 3x Purple Nymphs and an Aether Nymph.

Apparently though, nypmhs weren't in the cards for me.

I threw something together like:

Code: [Select]
55p 55p 55p 55q 55q 592 592 592 595 595 595 595 595 595 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5ro 5rt 5rt
And the only thing I really can't figure out is damage from the weapon. If rainbow drops an owl's eye, I'm not really sure how to soak the 7 damage/turn.

Any ideas/comments on the deck?

EDIT: Incidentally, this works really well vs osiris if you get a momentumed dune scorp out early :P

Ever since I added that Shard or Readiness to my deck, Miracle is fast becoming my favorite god to play:

Here's a thought: drop both FFQ and quint, and then use Eternity and Mindgate as was suggested to get a creature to play and bounce each turn. The only problem is that makes the damage potential wildly variable.

Also, I got an interesting suggestion via PM- adding a nymph's tears to force my opponent to have a creature I can afflatoxin. (Great vs people with only immortal creatures i.e. DG) Unfortunately, tears are pretty expensive, but it's an interesting idea nonetheless.

Oh well, I don't really have time to tweak the deck right now, but I'll definitely think about it some...

The reason I have elite queen in there for damage is because it's a single creature I can quint, but it makes creatures I can bounce with Eternity to prevent deckout. If I ran a Lava Destroyer instead, I'd probably drop the eternity because I'd have nothing to bounce.

Of course, I could add Lava Destroyer (or another damage creature) AND another quint, but that brings me to 32 cards.

What I'm thinking right now is probably just adding a single mind gate to bring me to 31.

(I'll update the OP with what I'm running now).

Good call on the Supernovae- I totally forgot those!  :-[

Anyway, I tweaked it a bit- dropped some pillars for supernova, and threw in 1 purify for a poison counter- think that's better then SoGs, or should I drop more pillars?

Here's what I'm working with now:

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 6u7 71c 71c 71c 77i 77i 7an 7an 7an 7gq 7k0 7k0 7k0 7n3 7q8 80h
EDIT: by the way, I was mistaken- Epi'd Malignant Cells multiply 4 times a turn, not 5 :P

Rainbow Decks / Diagnosis: Cancer!

So, I've never made a PvP deck before, but when I was twiddling around in the trainer tonight, I realized that Malignant Cells with Adrenaline would multiply 5 times per turn. This got me thinking- wouldn't it be fun to make a deck that not only afflatoxined someone's field full, but used Epi to do it really quick!

I've come up with this:
(Current Version)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 6u7 71c 71c 71c 77i 77i 7an 7an 7an 7gq 7k0 7k0 7k0 7n3 7q8 80h 80j 8pj

6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u7 6u7 6u7 71c 71c 71c 77i 77i 7an 7an 7an 7k0 7k0 7k0 7n3 7q8 80h 8pj

The idea is pretty simple- heal through antimatters, put epi on their malignant cells/antimattered creatures, and don't deck out through enchanted Eternity/FFQ. The win condition is decking out your opponent, but it can win through damage if you get the FFQ out early enough. However, there's really no rush, since you want to wait for the Quint.

I know it's weak versus immaterial creatures, but does anyone have any suggestions? I'm hoping to tune this into a pretty frustrating bastard of a deck :P.

First off, speak english. Seriously.

Secondly, one steal is kind of eh- you probably want to have more in the deck. Also, I'd replace the one obsidian dragon with an upped vampire. Yeah, it's less damage, but if you drop it and fractal the same turn, it's a lot of healing.

Also, you may want to work in some nightfall/eclipses- the damage adds up, even if it's just devourers.
