Duo-Decks / Skeletons of Condors [AI3/Upped]
« on: December 01, 2011, 08:58:05 am »
This deck is pretty fast and has a seemingly large success rate.  Missed EMs are only missed by a few HP.  The only major downfalls are bad starting hands and bad draws (no cats, only one SC, etc.).

Comments? Criticisms?

Here's what I'm running for fun against AI3.  You could probably run this unupped as well...haven't tried though.

Unupped version will probably be less successful because it will be slower.  I'd be willing to play 50 more games with the unupped version if there is interest.  Work is really slow.

Deck Help / Re: A Slow and Painful Death

Hey this deck work very well ! i just add one purify to have more chance vs morte and scorpio.
I really like it very pleasant to play with that deck
+ karma (but i dunno how to do it ^^)
Please don't post in old threads.
About the Karma thing, you need at least 20 posts to be able to give Karma. :)
So you would rather see new threads started on old subjects rather than revitalizing a dead thread? Ok, I'll keep that in mind for the future....

Off-Topic Discussions / Re: Why is your day AWESOME?

I had an AWESOME day.  I woke up at 7pm to get ready for work and my fiancée had BBQ Ribs and Coleslaw ready for dinner!  I got to work at 9pm and saw an email from my boss...my raise was approved!  Now i'm just waiting for the Lotto drawing on Friday.

this deck would be good, but you would either run out of cards or just plain out lose.
Running out of cards isn't the issue.  The initial play can be wonky based on your hand and the coin toss, but after that, the deck starts to come into it's own.  Playing with more and more and I'm starting to see the fun factor.

Try something like this:
Code: [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 744 746 746 746 746 746 746 74a 74a 74a 74a 74i 74i 74i 74i 74i 74i
Armagios have GP built in so you can use one as a shield if you need to.  The titan was useless.  The high HP of the Armagios makes them the perfect candidates for Overdrive.  This deck is almost exactly like my Overdrive Flying Titan deck (except the Titans start with more AP).

The deck IS effective, and I like the concept, but the execution is lacking and the deck is kinda slow against AI3.  These are just my opinions.  I am not sure what could be done to improve it, but IMO I would rather play a fire rush deck against AI3.

I would say get rid of the Cockatrice x4, the shield, and the sword.  The whole point of a rush deck is to beat them mercilessly...not cower behind a shield and wave your short sword around at them...30 cards without the chickens, shield, and sword and it will be very fast...even faster upgraded.

1337 is the "leetspeak" written form of "leet" which basically means "elite".  Although in this case, not very elite...

Religion / Re: What do you believe in and why?
« on: April 05, 2011, 08:46:25 am »
Having had catholicism rammed down my throat since birth (catholic pre-school through jesuit college), I was relieved to finally be free from it and to be able to think and ponder for myself.  Religious private schools don't really condone being a free-thinker or questioning beliefs, and I really wanted that over-priced education.  Anyways, as rational beings, it is only right that we expect rational proof of something's existence.  Nothing ever proved to me that god exists, and therefore I don't believe he does.  I think the real turning point (because I had always been a little suspicious throughout my years) that brought me to (agnostic) atheism was the realization that I was only catholic because my parents were catholic.  If I were born in India, I would be hindu.  If I were born in Tibet, I would be bhuddist.  Saudi Arabia, muslim...and so forth.  I wanted to explore many religions.  I wanted to see what the rest of the world had to say about this god character.

A few years ago, at my request, I was excommunicated from the catholic church.  I have since read many books on (not holy books...academic books) other religions such as islam and bhuddism.  I have even taken an academic approach to catholicism (it's interesting learning the history of the catholic church).  But nothing interests me more than books written by atheists or scientists.  Authors like Harris, Hitchens, Dawkins, Onfray, and Grayling reinforce what I already hold true -- In my mind, there is without a doubt, no god.  I am not the type of atheist that will pick a fight with a christian or denounce your faith just because I don't believe it.  No, instead I like to have deep discussion about religion and the origins of humans and the earth.

Will I be persuaded back to religion? Maybe someday (though I doubt it).  Do I think I'm going to hell because I denounce god(s)? No  Do I hate christians? Nope, my fiancée is a christian and her family is very religious.  They accept me and I accept them.
