How do any of these decks deal with a Devourer strategy?  They're all so quanta-light in the early going that simply losing the coin toss consistently causes problems against Devourers, in my experience.

Very few creatures available makes this pretty susceptible to a bad draw.

I tried out both your suggestions on the trainer.  Maybe it's just me, but it felt like the addition of Animate Weapon created a major shift in how the deck(s) played out, emphasizing poison much less than just trying to fly staffs at the enemy and aim for EMs.

Mabye Animate Weapon would be a better first upgrade, because then you can get MASSIVE healing from flying-adreni-staves (20 healing per turn) What do you think?
Making it a tri-color, right?  What would you suggest removing, or how would you otherwise balance the deck to fit Animate Weapon?

This is a really simple  :life/ :death poison deck with a straightforward play-style.  It can theoretically run into problems with  :water  thanks to Purify and freezing, or against a very early turn shield drop, relying on the Poison + Druidic Staff to eat away at your opponent's HP while keeping you alive, hopefully before he overwhelms you or decks you.  Similar decks have been posted, but I haven't found this particular one.

I'd give serious consideration to prioritizing Thorn Carapace as the first upgrade.

I had Momentum on a Mummy when it got Reverse Timed into a Pharaoh.  The Pharaoh had Momentum on it, but not the +1/+1 from Momentum.  Feature, or bug?

Design rationale: I wanted a card that gave a secondary benefit to  :death for using Virus, or for pairing with Otyughs or Scarabs in devourer decks, while keeping within the  :death theme of decay.
Besides Boneyard, Bonewall, Soul Catcher and Scavenger you mean?

My initial thought is that having the life gain trigger regardless of which side loses a creature was a bit too strong, and a bit off-focus for the  :death element.
Too strong? -> Increase the cost
A bit off-focus? -> Death usually uses death triggers not death of my creatures triggers

Other than those comments this looks ready for the Smithy(main CIA area).
Thanks for the review.  I should have clarified "secondary healing benefit", sorry; hadn't finished my coffee yet.  It would also hopefully give pause to opponents bent on taking out your legions, and help a bit against those shields that damage your creatures when they attack.

I like it. It would make mono-death more challenging, but that's not a bad thing.
Indeed, it wouldn't necessarily have an ideal home in a mono-death environment, though if you're using Virus un-upped it could provide a minor stalling effect, perhaps enough to get your Boneyard/Skeleton/Bonewall combo in full swing.

Effect: Whenever one of your creatures dies, gain 1 life.

Thoughts?

It's done just fine in ai3 in my testing on trainer.  It's not a rush deck, but a feeder/growth deck, and should be played as such.  Sorry if that wasn't clear in the OP.

As stated, it's an attempt at a viable out-of-the gate deck that isn't already stickied to the tutorials area.

Start with your basic Mark of  :death starter-deck.  Trade out the  :gravity cards for 4 scarabs and a  :time Pend.  Trade out the Skeletons, Plague, Poisons, and the Flesh Spider for more time pends, and the Bone Dragon for another Bone Wall.  Switch the Mark to  :gravity.  You should have 52  :electrum left.

Beat level 0, complete the 3 starter quests for a bit more  :electrum, and trade your Dagger for a Hammer for a teensy bit more damage.  Once you get your rare, pick Eternity.

Basic strategy is to drop the Viruses and Scarabs ASAP, followed by a Boneyard,  Bone Wall and Vultures.  Try not to drop a Vulture until you are ready to either infect a card with Virus or devour one with Scarab.  Use the Virus/Scarab combo to CC and feed your Walls and Vultures, cannibalizing your Skeletons when the enemy's side is either empty or to high HP to devour.  In a pinch, you can even choose to devour a Virus to get your other cards a boost.  I prefer this over the basic Otyugh combo because the Scarabs grow each other in ways Otyughs do not, and because the Eternity rare will make your Skeletons more than just Scarab-food.  Obviously, if you can get a Pharaoh to drop, consider using it instead of a Scarab, for better growth.

It's not unbeatable (a  :gravity/ :aether combo will make you very sad, as will a hyper-rush deck) and will rarely EM, but it's consistent and readily available to a new or restarting player.

How is the attack order of your creatures determined?  Example:  My opponent is at 4 life, and I have 2 Minor Vampires and a GotP.  Sometimes I EM, sometimes I don't.
