I just had a crazy thought. What if relics gave 1 random quanta each turn (like a weak version of QP)? It would make it slightly less useless.

Zanz has said in chat that there is zero chance of relics ever getting a use. That was a few months ago, but I'd say it still stands. Any use you can think of for relic can probably be done as a new card by naming it "Aged Artifact" or something of that sort.

not gonna lie, i love relics, they should stay as is... its nice to know when it spins up that you would have won a nymph, or a mark, and also that you have been given money, not a card to sell, or keep, or upgrade, but just money. i like

Changing it from its current state now will put others who sold them before the update at a considerable disadvantage and thus will likely never be changed.  The only possible alteration that could be made would be a change to the selling price, as demonstrated by the most recent Shard update.

That reasoning is flawed that Zanz would care if someone sold useless cards. Consider previous unupped shards, which were completely useless unless upgraded and thus people sold them and still zanz changed them, all he needed was a good idea. Relics which are useless now can be turned into something given a good enough idea on Zanz part. People change their mind all the time and Zanz is not an exception.

The difference here is that Zanz has (iirc) explicitly stated that the card will never be useful. On top of that, the card text explicitly states to sell it (although that text isn't updated on the Wiki image yet).

I do believe I said that it LIKELY would not change, not that it was impossible for the reasons that Xeno already stated.  I'm well aware that zanz changes his mind and thus things are not set in stone.  Is there any reason that I would believe that something would occur when zanz himself stated otherwise?  No, I don't believe I would as zanz always stays true to his word.
