When I created my account, I chose :time (don't remember why :P).
I played a few games with the starter deck, and then modified to a 60 card :time / :life duo with a bit water :P
When I got 500 score I chose Eternity, and two weeks taler i joined the forum and saw that Eternity is a great choice.
After that I began to be more pro (no more 60-card decks), and since I've always loved time.

The element I started with (on Kong) was Aether, because I liked the feel of "Can't touch me!" the brief description gave. It worked OK at first, but when I got into T50 I got completely destroyed. I then though I should make myself a rainbow, and threw in 20 Quantum Pillars, 6 Lava Golems, 6 Steals and more Growth creatures, because I liked the sound of infinite damage potential. I then proceeded and kicked some serious ass with my "speedbow" in Kong. After that, I started going on the main site (because my game wasn't loading on kong anymore) and found the Forums (old version) and chat. Some vets back then (nduL, didia (I'm sure some of you still know them ;))) showed me SG's FG killer, and I started... well... killing FG's. After that, I've got banned on Forums for necroing/acting like a mod/a bit of misunderstanding (I really wasn't trying to troll...), but happily, new Forums came up soon after (meh, more like 1 month..)
When I had ~ 100 posts, the Masters positions were up for grabs. I didn't apply, since I didn't think I'd get it, considering I was banned for 'trolling' SG. However, apparently nobody even applied for Light (or Air, for that matter) so, at one point we only had 10 Masters. I thought "meh, Air IS crappy (I love Air now, I was even more of a noob back then), but nobody wanted LIGHT? I mean, seriously... MG's, Miracles... that's awesome!", so I applied. Soon enough I got the position and prepared for the Master tourney. I managed to get most of the upped Light cards and got past BS(Darkness Master) and Coinich(Death Master) 3-0 3-0, to get in the Finals of 3. I DID lose vs Terro, and never got the chance to fight PuppyChow(Time Master) so I like to say I finished 2nd with what was at the time regarded as maybe the weakest element. That, and me getting to the finals of an upped tourney only with mono-Light got me eternally attached to Light: my best Element.

I first read about Elements on a blog about flash games. The owner of the blog wrote that the game is somewhat similar to Magic: the Gathering, so I knew two things instantly: One, I have to try this, and two, if the various "factions" are just a bit like those are in MtG, then first I wanna try the "faction" which is about fast rushes.
See, I have been playing MtG for over a decade, and I found that mostly aggro decks fit my playstyle, and I enjoyed playing various red decks and tactics(Sligh, RDW, Boros, Goblins, Jund, Burn you name it.) very much. (in Mtg, there are no elements but there are five colors: Red, Black, Blue, White and Green. I'm sure you can guess which one resembles which element.)

So, when I first encountered the "choose your element" screen, I obviously picked  :fire, as fire spelled "red deck" in my dictionary (I tried other various CCGs too, and usually managed to find a fatcion that resembled red decks).

So I started playing with fire, then get to know other elements, and realized that fire is among the more versatile of them.
There is littlie that fire cannot do on its own: CC- both single and mass, PC, rushes, stalls are all within  :fire 's capabilities.

So after so many games played, and being familiar with all the elements, I still think that my first choice was correct.

It can be or not be that fire is the strongest of elements, but it's a fact that it stands the closest to my heart.

when i started to play elements i picked water as my first element, balanced with a lot of options wich i liked.
i liked having all the control and most important THE OPTIONS. stalling, rushin, poison and lots more, it has everything.
that's why i think i never went away from water as my favorite element. i found the forums from someone from kong, he sended me the tutorial from jmizzle7 wich helped me building an efficient farming deck (speed poison of course ;)).
after that i joined some of my first tourneys, tried to join war #1 but i just never got a response from essence (i still have the pm xD).spectated war #1 and joined the team pvp #1 with water as my team element, also when i saw the trial applications i joined water. i learned a lot there and i'm a pretty well known member now.
today i still love water and i'm really happy i picked water as starter that one day.

When I started, I chose Aether, as someone on Kong Chat advised. (The intelligent way to react to this would have been to choose Time, it's opposite, but alas I am still only as intelligent as a kong player)

It turned out to be a good choice, since I could see other people's cards working, without them especially affecting me...
Quickly I chose favourite elements. I hated fire, because they could destroy my shields, and later harm my immortals. Darkness too I disliked, Steals made sure of that.

I left the game for a while, and came back, making an awkward Time/Gravity/Earth trio, based on Graboids, Pulvies and Otys.  This was at the hieght of Rainbow's popularity, so I was soon advised to drop the pillars and go to quantum.
I made one based on others and experiences, but my deck was never as upgraded as anyone elses. This was around the time sundial got nerfed, so semi pros were left with semi upped decks that were semi useless.
I PvP'd them, outthinking them to survive (No need to be modest, thats actually what happened. Every game thought went into every move I made)

I joined the forums. I found better decks. My grinding, which was already almost nonexistant, seemed to slow to the point of stopping. I talked and posted until everyone realised they couldn't get rid of me, so they ended up 'accepting' me. And haven't gotten rid of me yet!

So why, after all this, is Air my favourite element?
Nobody else wanted it.

(That will soon change after the war) 2nd Place! We destroyed them! Annhialeted them! Crushed them, Drowned them, Shaved their eyebrows, spoonfed them prunes, ripped their arms off, introduce their faces to a brick wall, invite them to a piranha party and danced over their unconcious bodies. OOH YEAH!

Air is my favorite Element outside of the game. I like it for reasons which I may or may not share, but anyhow, it was the very first element I picked. I still like air out of personal attachment, but I found that it really lacked a sense of speed that I felt it deserved. I started on kong, and was a pretty horrible deck builder back then, so I ended up making a bunch of accounts and trying a bunch of decks. Once I joined the forums and found out about trainer though, I started thinking of a bunch of deck ideas and trying a bunch of things, and have gotten to know all the cards in the game quite well. After all this, I decided that Entropy is just by far the most fun to play out of every element =D. It's randomness and chaoticness makes it awesome and fun to play, which makes it my favorite element in-game.  But I still and always will hold a personal attachment to air, regardless, and I hope that it will receive some buffs in the future.

i have no idea what my starter element was.
back to july 09, my first decent deck (besides the common shrieker ai3 grinder) was a gravity/fire t50 crusher, who worked quite nice these days.
nice enough to stay on gravity, along with the good old sundial-bow fg-puncher. also, i liked my sundial/fahrenheit/bolt deck for pvp (hrhr).
tired from ultra stalling i get me some rushes then: fire and life getting my focus.
as blackhole/nymphs where implemented and i won a grav nymph (my first beauty), gravity gained again my love for t50 grinding.

actually i dont have a favorite element. i just like them all.^^
but, playing for life in the war for the deckbuilding challenge is quite fun.

Here is my tale of my destiny and how death chose a noob like me to become Master of Death.

Choosing my first element was determined by my efficient nature and my knack for research. I pretty much research every game looking for an optimal way to play. I was/am a Kongregate player and when i first saw elements i thought it looked pretty good so i went through the threads and lo and behold there was a thread with best builds. From this thread i decided to go with a speed poison and started my path with death.

Soon after though i went the way of SG's FG killer and made a graboid rush. Soon after i lost interest in the game at around 10k score. 3-4 months later i came back to the game because i found this forum and started creating more decks, speedbow, life rush, more FG decks (puppychow, vreely, and shoot forgot his name). I really kicked up the grind at this point and got to 130k score and started to make farm decks for the t50. Then the Master trials started up and noticed that Water did not have any challengers which i thought was a travesty so i signed up to challenge Essence.

But as fate would have it I ended up changing my mind as i noticed that Death had no challengers and decided to usurp the throne of Coinich. Our battle started out with me falling behind 0-2 but the fates would not let me lose and somehow managed to pull off a 5-3 victory. After rereading the trials i won solely due to luck and a misstep by Coinich in one match. I was now Master of Death.

I chose my element arbitrarily. I challenged for the Master of Death position for really no specific reason. With that said it seems that i have fallen under the Death's favor and if you have followed my battle history know that the RNG is my friend and have won many battles that i probably shouldn't have. Now i could not imagine any other element being my favorite as i serve my 2nd term as Master.

I started with Death and strayed away but as it is in life you always end with Death.

:entropy was my starter, and is still my favorite element, although :time comes close.
:entropy was also my first nymph.  ;)
I still remember the deck I used to run in pvp 1 when I was under 500 score. 6 Chaos seeds, 6 pandemoniums, 6 mutations, mono entropy. I just loved the randomness, and the grief it caused my opponents.

I like my control decks and  :fire just happens to be good at it. The most efficient permanent control, creature control that doubles as a wincon, mass creature control, and some of the best midrange beats in the game.

It was a very long story when i was just a lill kid on a nowhere place called home

First time i found this one is at kongregate, on January(maybe). start exciting with those name, i think it was science game, but i was wrong. Hear it was a card game but i haven't open it, maybe it was a replica of yugioh(i was a fanatic of ygo that time, but now not)

As i play as kong acc, i found a table of elements. though it was all so cool, i try to choose one of them carefully. All was perfect no miss, but i choose :time as my firstly deck
Didn't know anything about forum, chat, and original website, knowing there's win there's lose.. enjoying playing elements all day.. sounded like leaving ygo and focusing in elements that day, like a promise(and it is)
One day at elements chat #1 at kong, i found a player that searching for pvp. i serve him, and lost. but at that time i learn something about forum, chat, original website, good building deck, and lotof.
Since that time i'm very active at elements. opening forum, make thread, looking at good-balanced deck, and pvp-ing to test my deck, the circumstances like that. Trying to have a research with each elements, to make it balanced and fun to use. About ... 5 July 2010(maybe, i forget), found a thread about hacker, and shockly founded my name was there(thanks for SG to make a very killer joke thread, better than killerjoe.com XD) that time i keep my word to not playing elements FOREVER.
Time has passed and i was Junior High School. Still remember at that thread, everyday, everytime, when i drawing, when i singing, when i playing, when i open kong, and when i met my elements friend. On October, i was opening my yahoo! Mailbox and founded something that make me shock - an e-mail from element's admin, SG. I think it was a junk, but i open it. Guess what? It was my fault to trust a thread. GOD. what must i do now?! Kill myself with monitor, or with plate beside me? I want to scream ,"GOD, HELP ME!"
With sad face i try to open my elements account at original place. Because i wasn't a hacker and want to live peace, i decided to RESET MY account(i have about 8 upped card and load of weapon). It was painful, but i', happy i can play elements again. I choose :water as opening, use jmdt from noob to false god slayer deck, still researching good deck to use, now i use dema; t50 grinder - fire; or water jmdt fn2fgs deck. I'm happy to choose.. well.. i can't decide it yet.
But i have a plan to make a duo :time deck.
I think my favorite elements is my first elements, too. and first nymph i get, too(idk just luck maybe!)
:time - i like the quote i get from my friend
"If we can REWIND the time, i want to stop being other people. I want to be MYSELF"
*and dont ask me why i like this one. It just a destiny.

My first pick was darkness.  It was, to be honest, a missclick.  I wanted to start with light.

But playing around with darkness, I really liked vampires, so instead of switching entirely to light, I went dark/light.  Blessed vampires.  I loved the concept of opposite elements in a duo, and miracle + Dusk mantle worked really well.  It earned me my first tournament win, versus icy.

Back in the day, FFQ decks were the best decks ever made.  Lhjnhnas (a player from kong, my "mentor" so to speak) had a killer one.  Still does.  And though my deck could beat AI3 the majority of the time, it failed in PVP.  So I made an FFQ deck, and did well, until lhjnhnas made a stall-bow and obliterated me.  She linked me to SG's rainbow, and I started grinding to build it.

I didn't have eternities however, so I was stuck grinding AI3, and I got my first eternity after the sundial nerf.  That was when puppychow's rainbow dominated FGs best, and I didn't have the shards.  So, fighting AI3, I started upgrading my AI3 deck.  I had combined the healing from FFQ with the healing of vampires to make adrenaline + vampires, my favorite AI3 deck ever made.  The healing from it was unmatched, and I fully upgraded it.

It was then I realized what I liked in the game.  Speed, and life gain.  Life was the only element, and is the only element, that has both.

As new cards were added, fractal came out, and then came hope.  Thinking hope was broken, I started fiddling with RoL+Hope.  Seeing the massive synergy between hope and luciferin, I started fiddling with it, and then I noticed how luciferin stacked with adrenaline.  Combining what I had learned to do with rustlers from FFQ decks, and remembering how well 3|3 vampires worked, I invented my most memorable life deck ever made.

As of late, I've been more interested in control, and I'm looking into entropy.  It isn't perfect, but who knows.  Maybe I'll finally make that unupgraded entropy/fire FG killer.
