To me, hostess, especially their iconic twinkies, has been something that can be called a part of our culture and I was dismayed to hear they're going to close.

This has the information on the topic.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

 :o  I had no idea.

Here it says "Hostess will move to sell its assets to the highest bidder. That could mean new life for some of its most popular products, which could be scooped up at auction and attached to products from other companies."  I'd have to think some company out there will buy.  I can't imagine a twinkieless world.
