Hostess to close. Your feelings?

Guys, get back to your senses and stop worshiping capitalistic companies like being charity-based organizations. Hostess was just another company, caring just about money, and it just seems it has failed in the merciless capitalistic arena of self-interest and profit, like mayn companies before it. That's the world we're living in. Sorry for being a scum right now but, seriously, wake up guys... 8)

Don't be a dick. We couldn't care less about Hostess, but we DO care about our dearly beloved Twinkies, Cupcakes, Sno Balls, etc.

But seriously, there are more companies who make sweets of this kind and I am sure that you are going to find non-Hostess-made twinkies, cupcakes and sno balls to be quite delicious and/or different kind of sweets are going to take their place in your heart (and stomach) sooner or later... So, don't worry, be happy.
 There are children dying due to hunger out there, it is not proper to be so emotionally attached to food.

Twinkies and the like have just been a part of a lot of our childhoods and generic brands jut aren't the same. Think of your favorite food and who makes it.

Let's say you like a particular steak from a certain restaurant. When that restaurant closes, could you just go to any other restaurant, ask for a steak, and have it be the same? Of course not.

(for the record, it's stupid that we're arguing about Twinkies in the first place) So, in closing, Twinkies mean a lot more to some people than just yummy, creamy, fluffy goodness. It's a trademark of their childhood that they want to pass on for generations, but it was taken away from them

I am not trolling (except for the sugar addicts thing). Yes, I would go and eat a stick everywhere, in any kind of restaurant, since I enjoy food but I don't worship it. And there are better trademarks of someone's childhood than a "yummy,creamy,fluffy goodness". If your childhood is Twinkles, then I feel indeed sorry about you; you had such a sad and empty childhood...

With that logic, I could say the exact same thing to you about anything. You start talking about your favorite television show and I could just be like "why are you talking about television when there are children dying in Africa?" You can go be a pessimist somewhere else; we're just trying to have a nice conversation about Twinkies.
