Favorite Music era

i love techno, but almost all of the techno ive heard was after 2000, so do i put 2000 or whichever decade that techno started?

My favorite period is the Baroque era, so I think that's before the 60s

Among more recent music, I like the 80s and also the last few years. Rolling in the Deep being #1 last year made me believe in pop music again.

I was literally just about to post Baroque here because I couldn't find it in the polls!  Props, Baroque music is epic.

Frankly, due to the rate of music evolution in this decade i'd change the time periods into 2000 to 2008 and 2009 to 2011- dubstep is only recentlycoming into force, and there is a marked difference beetween the rock-pop of th 00 to 08 era and the more recent rap-synth-pop.
