I really liked it but I don't think it'll last long on NBC.

Just recently watched the first season. It was spectacularly done. Lots of interesting psychological content and chilling gore. Immensely better than the recent Psycho spin-off, Bates Motel. I'm surprised nobody has commented on this. :(

I assumed this was the movie until I read the post... I had no idea there was a TV series for Hannibal.  I'll have to check it out; I liked the movies.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Hannibal in the first place. However, you should also know beforehand that it's a completely different story than the one that takes place in the original novels/movies. They did an amazing job, though.
