Alright soldiers, listen up. Storm's a comin' an' we don' have enough gear for everyone. Grab a gun and get to the lines.
The plans:
So, I'm thinking we should go with aether, light, air, and water as our potential duos. Use frogtal, rustler rush, and growth to kick butt. All of these duos, (with the exception of water) are swarm decks, and use many of the same cards. Water is there for variety, which is good. Other options exist.
For instance, shall we use a hyper vampires deck? That works well unupgraded and grants us permanent control.
Another problem I'm having is creature control. Both Frogtal and the Adrenaline frog deck have huge problems with creature control, and we'll need a way around that. Plus, all light has is holy flash. Thankfully, we can pack shockwave and lightning bolt. Permanent protection might not be a problem, but permanent control could be useful. I have no idea about those.
So here's the official roster, an ordered list of which duos we'll be using in order of likelyhood.
Light (Ruslters kick ass)
Air (FFQ)
Aether (frogtal, and shield hiding)
Water (Growth)
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Probable Use Line
Darkness (Hyper vampires. Steals would be useful)
Entropy (Mutant decks)
Fire (Just a minor duo to grab some deflags. Can probably be gained through salvaged cards.)
Time (Reverse Deja's)
Death (Malignant spam)
Gravity (Pulverizer?)
Earth (... I dunno)
The hope is to use decks that use many of the same cards. EG, both the light duo and the air duo use hope. Both the light duo and the air duo use adrenaline if it's flying staffs.
As far as picking your 45 cards goes, you're going to want to do this.
Take 30 cards you want. This will be your opening deck. Make it rock.
Take 15 cards you CAN want, that CAN be used with multiple decks. Make sure someone else takes 15 cards that allow you to combine them into a 30 card deck that rocks.
I will probably be packing my trials deck, it's sideboard, and the cards needed to turn it into an FFQ deck. I'll have to look up how many cards that is...
Please post the deck image of your 45 cards ASAP.
Where doing this man. Where making this happen.
