Hello. I'm Aki. I've been playing elements off and on for a few years now, but am finally looking to get a bit more competitive with it and so I figured I would introduce myself to you all. I first started playing elements in college as a way to procrastinate on studying. I love puzzle and strategy games and play most card games, although I definitely prefer the free kind.
I live in GMT -8 right now, but I have narcolepsy so I'm usually asleep most of the times people are normally up. Right now I'm using a duo Death/Entropy deck but my main is a rainbow deck with a focus on improved mutation. My favorite element is definitely Entropy. I love mutation/improved mutation and Pandemonium is one of my favorite cards. I feel like entropy is one of the decks where you can get the most bang for your buck so to speak, but of course everyone has differing opinions.
In traditional TCG/CCG's I usually play mill or stall decks with a lot of field control. I like frustrating my opponent by denying them the ability to play creatures and spells. That sort of deck is not as fun and a bit more difficult to do in elements I have found, so instead I usually lean towards a swarm strategy.
For me the most difficult part of the game is definitely finding the right balance of pillars to include in a deck. For me speed is really important since I like to focus on swarming, so getting the right amount of pillars is integral to a cohesive deck.
Anyway if you have any suggestions as far as gameplay or the forum goes I'm happy to hear it. Where should I go next to get more involved in the community here? That's the kind of thing I'm wondering right now. Regardless, it's a pleasure to met you.
