(Sorry about the double-posting; you can find this topic under General Discussions as well, but I feel that this board is quite appropriate to post it.)

I intend to host a few tournaments for fairly new players. They would be totally newb- friendly (mostly bazaar cards only, with a very few exceptions) and would feature interesting yet not too complicated deckbuilding rules. The format would be the same as a weekly tourney.
I would even offer a money reward code for the winner and maybe for the second place (I have several that I don't intend to use myself since  :electrum is a non-issue for me).
The tournaments wouldn't be held at regular intervals; mostly when I have the time to host one in the weeked. I would notice the community several days before with a timer and the deckbuilding rules, much like  the official weekly tournaments.

So, my question to the new players is this: Would you be interested in participating such a tournament? If yes, great :) If no, why not?

Sounds like a great idea :3

I'm not a total newbie, but I only just returned to the game after months of break (TBH, even before I left, I mostly used others' well-known decks), and an easy-going tournament to start things off sound nice.

Sounds like a good idea. What restrictions would you have for entry - in terms of level, score etc.?
You couldn't let everyone in, otherwise the real new players would be pummelled by more experienced players, especially if there isn't many deckbuilding restrictions.

Score would be a nice restriction. Maybe lower than Gold Arena or something similar, as it was said in tue other thread.

I would say no more than eg. 200 games played? Or something like that?

Or simply say "apply if you feel yourself a new player who is reluctant to participate in the regular tourney due to his newbieness. Veterans cannot really gain anything here, so pls don't spoil the newbie's fun"

I think 200 duels may be too low a number to be practical. Even a newbie can play that many in a day or two. Also, after the first one, anyone who started playing since the the previous newbie tourney and hasn't played a regular tourney should be allowed to enter, simply because of the irregular schedule.
