if the height is the main issue, i will raise it a tad, but looking at the existing icons few of them are perfectly centered on the y axis, mostly just on the x- the easiest to check is the one- a lot of white space at the bottom, little at the top

It seems we will go one card at a time. (or two for the first few simple ones)

Now, this presents a problem because unlike Deja Vu, IIRC there's no reason for Mitosis to disappear on the offspring, since it's innate to the creature.  Is it the intention that, with enough quanta, this could fill your field as quickly as a Malignant Cell?  Or does Mitosis not appear on the offspring?

if i remember correctly there was discussion and consideration for a new ability of "meme" which would act as a hybrid of deja vu and mitosis, the parent would lose the skill, but the daughter card would have it, so it would be a linear growth model rather than exponential

That sounds much more reasonable, though mechanically not terribly different from leaving the skill as "mitosis" and having the parent creature keep the skill.

So, a linear-growth creature that costs 4 to create the first one and 2 to create each additional, and the stats are 2|4 and 3|5 respectively.  Gotta say, for a 'vanilla' creature, that steps really, really hard on FFQ's toes and is still very cost-effective compared to the original momma critter.  Perhaps an increase in CC is warranted?

im not sure if it steps on her toes too much, the things made do less damage and they dont produce quanta- even if its a trio quanta, its still useful.  i wouldnt call it a vanilla creature, i tend to reserve that term for creatures without any skills/passives whatsoever

Both cards (Psionist and Meme) could use a better upgraded name but I do not have suggestions for what.

It was suggested that Meme change its ability to be ": Meme: Generate a Meme." (Meme is meant to be exponential growth)

If Meme should be nerfed, an increase in AC would be more effective because it scales better with the growth in power.

turn 1: 1 meme, 3 total atk 3 total dmg done for 3 quanta total
turn 2: 2 memes, 6 total atk 9 total dmg done for 5 quanta total
turn 3: 4 memes, 12 total atk 23 total dmg done for 7 quanta total
turn 4: 8 memes, 24 total atk 47 total dmg done for 15 quanta total
turn 5: 16 memes, 48 total atk 95 total dmg done for 31 quanta total

from one initial meme, that rivals a speedbow

Psionist could become Elite Psion, and Meme could become Viral Thought, perhaps.
Moose does have a good point about exponential growth, and we should probably use Forest Spirit as an example - Elite Meme/Viral Thought could only get -1 cost without the stat boost and maybe lower HP (unless Field Jamming negates it enough).

i like that card template, it fits in pretty well with the existing ones

Psionist | Psion or Psionist | Archon - archon by its traditional definition wouldn't fit, but considering it's use pop culture such as starcraft and warhammer 40,000, it may work.


also, i nominate the combined mark for consideration, it uses flayne's maze and color scheme on vrt's distinct eye shape.  flayne won the vote fair and square, not taking anything away from him, but i think having a more distinct eye shape would be beneficial to the element.

The original authors of the cards should post edited versions of the card ideas to maintain the original intent. (I forget who designed Psionist)
I agree that 3 attack would be too fast (after seeing the numbers crunched). 2atk would only be 50damage at turn 5 with 82 damage at turn 6.
