If luck is with you then grinding AI5 is fine, howeverl its nothing compared to if luck is with you grinding ai6. http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11830.0.html The rewards need to be increased imo. As whitetigershiro pointed out, theres hardly a good reason to grind them.
True true. I often find that if I'm going to win anything for the day it will be within my first five or six matches. Just the other day I got five upped cards from AI5 in a 4-5 matches (I scored a double on one of the HBs). Later on in the day I played like 10 FG matches winning 6 and won nothing, so I quit and did something else  :P.
Winning 6 FG matches without any card rewards isn't uncommon. I beat about 9 FGs yesterday with 0 card winnings.
Yeah. I hate it when that happens. I wish FGs were worth a bit more electrum. In any case, HBs are a mixed a bunch, I think some are quite easy though and may need their decks revised a bit.

I fought level 5 AI about 10 times today and beat him every time using a 40 card rainbow that has only 7 upgraded cards. And when I say beat, I mean absolutely destroyed. It was like fighting level 3 AI.

Most of the matches AI 5 was doing almost nothing. I don't know if he had cards that he couldn't use or was there a problem with the code, but I do know that he was very inactive.

Have you had similar experiences where level 5 AI did almost nothing?
Care to post that Deck please?

It's actually better suited for FG though :D

I have no weapon problem, the FG's and top 50 gave me enough. Got electrocutor as well. The other cards may be unupped? I got only a single elite phase dragon. I prefer the rainbow anyway, every game is different :)

Btw, that mono aether deck is CRAP. A single gravity shield blocks all damage except the lightnings.
How about no?
Mono Aether is far from "crap".
It can beat A false god and any deck that can do that is not crap.
Gravity shield eh?
Lightnings?
A. Why run lightning in a 30 card Mono Aether deck? You will have Phase shield or something out so a little creatue removal is pointless.
B. Will AI5 use Gravity shield, if so how often?

Nearly always against Massa. If you're unlucky against Gravity dominant decks. Almost never against recessive Gravity decks.

Yes, way too easy. I even had a good win rate with an un-upped shrieker rush!

It depends,
some are easy other are very hard.

Anyway it depends a lot from the starting hand, the cards and how often you play.
If you are planning to re-tweak AI5 I'd suggest to take a look in both directions.

They are ridiculously easy.  I use a fully upgraded 40-card Gravity/Earth control with 95%+ win rate and 60%+ EM rate at a guess.  The Half Bloods having random composition decks just don't have the capability to dish out anything too specific, making them incredibly weak to control decks.  I only usually lose when it's something like a one-Pendulum starting hand and with no Towers or Pendulums in the next few draws, early immaterial spam, etc.

the 30% upgraded cards reduces the # of cards won from the spins. like when you get 1 upped and 2 unupped of the same card from the spin, you don't get the card. i'd rather prefer t50
Not so active.

Lvl 5? It's my hobby... no... DUTY to Hunt 'em down! ALL 144 HALF-BLOODS!!!!! And yes.. They ARE pretty easy. Beated 26 of them with Elemental Mastery with a Vampire deck! XD From 32 battles won... From 37 fought battles ( with that deck )

I won lots of cards, but my only upgraded card was a Schrödinger's Cat..  :P

But the battles take too long for grinding, so I just go with lvl 3.

If anything Half-Bloods aren't easy enough.  As-is, fighting them is more trade-off than gain.  You compare them to AI3 in ease of defeat?  Yeah, let's go down that comparison:

100 Health vs 200 Health
~20 Electrum vs ~40 Electrum
40 Electrum for EM vs 80 Electrum for EM
1 Quanta from Mark vs 3 Quanta from Mark
Draws 1 Card per turn vs 2 Cards per turn

So in other words... so what if it's the same difficulty as the AI3?  It's the same reward, too.

Except you completely ignore the now-30% of a card win being upgraded.  You've got to figure that if you win a card in roughly 5% of all AI5 spins, and 30% of those cards are upgraded, that's .3*.05*1150, or 17.5-ish electrum per win on average, nearly doubling the reward for winning without EM.

That's not insignificant. :)
