I don't see how this is particularly useful. If it converts quanta into another quanta and then to convert it back you have to pay, then why would I convert in the first place?

Ah, okay...I misread the ability...and my mind decided to play games.  See, I figured that it'd be easier if the X was "number of creatures CS|DS has damaged", then jumped to "but it can't damage anything on first turn."  And of course, my mind did all this without reality knocking on the door and saying "but that's not how it works."  Yeah, don't mind me.

Created for Community Challenge: Duality's Legacy Rd 3 (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,26964.0.html).
Conversion happens at end of turn when all other quanta effects occur.  Reflash will consume all  :darkness, conversion will be 1 to 1 up to the cap.

(Reflash is taken from Navy (and I presume other as well) firefighting training, where a fire that is seemingly put out can, without warning, burst back into flames again.)

Understood, and I'm not completely happy with it, but at least it's better than generic...generic also (to me, at least) is talking about solely a creature without any abilities at all.  I'm still up for suggestions for any other term there.

Eh, there's a way to make a soft cap.  Have it be something like "Gains +N|+X, where N and X = number of  your :light:earth cards in play, respectively."

Of course, it wouldn't work for the contest, but still.

You should probably replace the N / X with +N | +X to deconflict the reading.  At first, I was going to say that there was a divide by zero error possible.

Edit: All that said, it's way too powerful a card.  Think Twin universe...or even just the 6 cards you can normally put in your deck.

Now that mine is knocked out, I can say that I got put up against what I think is the best card by far of Rd 1.  That was a really good design, Manipul8r. =D
