Neptune / Re: Oracle : Neptune

I used it upgraded, works perfect.  All those CC cards fill up his hand and then he could only draw 1 card a turn.  He didn't even get a Permafrost out.

Religion / Re: Responses to a few common arguments
« on: August 03, 2010, 05:44:49 am »
Can you go to heaven with sin? No.
Are we sinners? Yes.
Did Jesus Christ forgive our sins? Yes.
Can Jesus forgive our sins if we don't let him into our hearts? No.
So, if we believe in Jesus as our savior, can we go to heaven? Yes.
If we don't? No.
(Note that that's one of the main reasons Christianity is so evangelical. Believers want to save those that don't).

Personally I feel this is a core belief of Christianity.I may not agree with what certain denominations of it say, however, this is the most important thing to me.
For those who believe in this path to heaven, why do you feel it is right over another path, such as Islam?  Is it the actions of the religion's followers or a reading of various holy books, or something else?

For those who believe there is no reward or punishment in choosing a faith, does it boil down to just a personal preference then, like what flavor of ice cream you like?

Buff This Card! / Re: Fire Spirit | Fire Spectre
« on: August 03, 2010, 04:59:04 am »
The increased cost of the spectre makes him worse in any fast deck. Spirit is fine as it is, but the upgraded version should actually be better and needs a buff.
No, its not. The upped can occasionally be faster than the unupped, but the unupped is NEVER faster. Here is how it is.
Spirit=2 :fire summoning.
Specter=3 :fire summoning.

Play Spirit and do no damage. Wait a turn, then use ablaze for 1 :fire to do 2 damage for a total of 3 :fire and 2 turns.
Play Specter and do 2 damage for a total of 3 :fire and 1 turn
it COULD be => opponents discord.
Well you really can't base it on quanta denial. In that case all upped creatures that cost more apply.
I think he was responding to the use of an absolute.
You are playing a deck where Supernovas are your only :fire generation and you're opening hand contains 1 Supernova, 1 Unstoppable, 1 Improved Blessing and 1 Fire Spirit/Spectre.  In that case, Spirit is faster.  Though, if Supernovas are your only :fire generation it's a crappy deck.

I know but what if you fly a card after it gains momentum from the titan glitch :P
I figured that was coming next.  Stop posting when I'm posting.   :)) :))

So to sum up:  Playing Titan gives the weapon slot Momentum until Flying Weapon is used.

Do they retain momentum when flown.
That was my next question.  You posted while I still had this thread open and updating.  See my first post.   8)

Any weapon that follows Titan and then is flown loses Momentum.  The slot also loses it at that point.

Wow.  I just verified in trainer.  Once Titan is played, the weapon slot gains Momentum permanently.  Any weapon or any number of weapons played after all pass through shields and are not affected by damage reduction or evasion.  Definite bug.

Here is a previous thread mentioning it: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5226.msg58655#msg58655

UPDATE:  If you fly the Titan, the slot loses Momentum and goes back to normal.

Works for me: http://elementsthegame.com/trainer

I could access Top50 and everything.  Maybe it was a temporary problem.

Invert Damage and Healing of target creature or player for 2 turns. Consumes all your :entropy
"Target" means creature or player, see Fire Bolt, for example.

I think it should hit both players so it isn't a one sided victory. Forget creatures and make it a permanent for 2 turns.
It would be great drop when you have no creatures and they are healling in an uncontrolled manner. Also works as a turnaround when you are about to lose.
Very powerful effect as it is and such needs to be brought back to just strong.
Though you lose the Gravity Pull scenario, I think what Kael Hate says here is probably the way to go.

Graboid has a passive skill burrow.  So, there would be a chance of mass Quintessence.

I think the passives are too highly variable.  If you take this in a flying Titans deck it could be completely useless (ranged, poisonous) or insta-win (voodoo).

I know this discussion was a month ago, but voting just came up.

OP. Unkillable without a shield = No.
I dont like it. This and quintessence is OP..
This + 2 upped blessings and a rage pot = +16|+4 On a 2|1 creature = 18|5 unkillable and reflects onto your opponent.
Even without blessing, fractal it for a field of 2|1 unstobbable damage (With quints)..
Or just playing this card ALONE = OP.
I don't understand--You think Quintessence, the Aether card, is OP, or this card played with a quint on it is OP?

you're partly right... reflect can't be a passive ability. Qs+BE+quint is a game over.

How about making it active? so it can be loboed and BE/liquid shadow "overwrites" it?

Any other ideas?
Why can't it be passive?  BE+Quint is already a combo in game (see Dream Catcher).
Wouldn't Quint actually be a counter to this card, since the only thing that would be reflected at that point is Fire Shield?

Devouring quicksilver --> poisoned.
Nice idea.

Forge Archive / Re: Doppelganger | Doppelganger
« on: August 02, 2010, 11:37:37 pm »
EDIT: Uh...  :( It also appears that you might need to change the name of Doppelganger (possibly by adding that 'accented' a).

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8700.0.html
Not necessary, because there are already other duplicate names in the Crucible and upwards.  No one can claim a copyright on a name.
That said, umlauts are cool.   ;D

I think the ability has to be a passive since there are no previous cards with multiple actives.  The name of the ability may be listed (Scarab) or not (Mummy).

Add  :time : Evolve to the notes.

Another description option for brevity: "Doppelganger's active ability becomes the most recently used active creature ability."

Like Burrow, I would assume SoR would no longer apply once the active ability is changed.  For one-use abilities (Lycanthropy, Stone Form), I would assume it doesn't copy itself and get the ability repeatedly?  If using Deja Vu, again I would assume the original is left blank, but then does the new copy gain Deja Vu?

This would combo extremely well with Steam Machine and another creature to cancel out the ability.

Oh, and this card is AWESOME.  You got my vote.

Perhaps people are doing it for thought experiments?

I don't care why they are, really, but I feel it's cluttering up the rest of the board--that's why I was complaining.  I would like the "Here are the decks of the False Gods" to be on the front page.   ;D
