Yeah, i have thought about that too.  Since, if the other player doesn't have anything to deal damage to the creature, it's an auto-stall.

Deck name: Steamed Calamari  :P

So I wanted to make an unupped PVP deck using steam machine.  Idea is pretty simple.

1. Freeze things with Freeze and Squids.  Ice shield helps with this and prevents damage from little critter spam.

2. Kill things with Fire Bolt if needed. (Ive been thinking about getting rid of these for more deflags or something because their damage never gets really high.  Cant decide)

3. Make Steam Machine really big.

4. Deflagrate shields (like fire shield or phase shield).

This deck has been really effective against AI3.  The CC is very effective and I can usually shut down most deck's creatures.  It actually surprised me how much freeze/squids combo can get total CC so often.   :P

The problems I run into are mono- :aether .  But the Ice shield makes it possible to win as long as you time your deflag's right on their phase shield.  Bad draws are rare but cause serious problems( like no water pillars...grrrrr).

Any suggestions or comments are welcome   ;D

How will you play Spiders after fractal, it drains all aether quanta. Other than that, great deck n__n! I will try it when i have the time im busy grinding FG's ( wich is hard  :'()
After you fractal, you will have to wait until the next turn to start flooding the Spiders.  But with the amount of towers you will have, you should be able to play 1 or 2 a turn, which at 7 damage is still  pretty hefty.  And remember that you won't be taking damage (or not much) because of the Wings.  So after the 5 wing'd turns you will have lots of damage out and probably another Wings waiting.

I was playing around with Wings/Phase Recluse because of the obvious synergy and this is the deck I eventually came up with.

It packs a heavy punch and you are able to stall the opponent with the Wings and Web ability for a long time.  The Lightnings are VERY handy in dealing with big creatures that you don't want to use Web on to save  :air and against any pesky creature depending on the deck you are facing.  I wouldn't call this a rush deck, but it is still pretty quick. 

Some problems I ran into were
1. Fire Shield...ugh
2. Quanta draining was a problem sometimes and sometimes not.  Just depends on your draw versus theirs.  There are times where you can put out enough damage before they gain complete control of you.
3. CC can be a problem if it is mass CC like RoF or Plague.  The recluses only have 2hp so they are pretty vulnerable.

It is REALLY effective against Level 5.  Not so much FG...

So, I'm new to posting but I follow the forums regularly and I'm really interested in the dynamics of the War.  Alliances is an awesome idea as long as there are pro's and con's.  I don't think that there should be any trading advantages since trading will be 1:1 with all teams anyways.  I just don't think it would help against a common foe that well.

So, I was thinking maybe if 2 teams formed an alliance they could actually give life points for the next battle.  Say Team A is allied with Team B and they want to take down Team C.  When Team A is matched against Team C, Team B can give them some life for the next battle so their max health is higher for Team A, while Team B's max health would decrease for their next battle.  I don't know if the life giving ratio should be 1:1 or give less of an advantage like 2:1 so you would have to give 10 for another team to gain 5.  Also, I don't know if the coding would be a huge pain for this, but it was just a thought.

This is just a way for teams to help each other defeat an opponent while also having some consequence.
