Deck Help / Re: Probably outdated timebow
« on: December 11, 2011, 01:52:53 pm »
Current state of the art FG decks seems to have moved away from massive timebows going to thinish time decks such as Fast Draw Ghostal (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,29973.0.html) or Instosis (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,32309.0.html). If you have the SoRs I would recommend Instosis.

For more info on the state of the (slightly dated) art have a look at the FGEI study (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,25609.0.html).

You would still one hit kill most people using a 12 strength dragon (4*(12+1) *2 =104). Perhaps consider using a more survivable one? For example a jade dragon (12/9) would be immune to lots of pure damage CC for a while. Your whole attack force could't be wiped out by a RoF.

Another card I would consider is an electrum hourglass.. You don't use time and it will give you some drawing power against ghostmare, if it doesn.t get  stolen.

How about adding in more creature control creatures to slow down the opposition. Something like

4vd 52l 55q 55q 596 5lm 5lm 5og 5ol 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 624 624 624 624 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u2 6u2 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 7gr 8pj

I tried it a bit against AI4 in trainer and it did okay. Drop your scorps first and the AI should waste its CC on them. If you are having trouble against mono aether, some sundials might come in handy.

How about a quintessence to protect your otyugh/squid against ghostmare?

Death / Re: Shard of Sacrifice | Shard of Sacrifice

I just lost to Girlsgeneration's deck. She's playing SoSac and poisons in platinium.
I got a death card, so I built one too, and trained against it with different decks (with Purify). Lost 100%. So far, I have 3/0 today, I'm sure I'll have good results.

Can you post a deck list? I'm thinking a fire water duo with steam machines (let them run out of steam while the sacs are up) purifies, rage pots and explosions wouldn't be too bad. I'd like to experiment.

Something like:

7dm 7dm 7dm 7dr 7dr 7dr 7dr 7dr 7gp 7gp 7gq 7gq 7gq 7h2 7h2 7h2 7h2 7h2 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 8po

Use rage pots on creatures to control them or on your steam machines to give a burst of damage near the end if he lets the sosac run out because you have low damage. May have a problem with bone walls. Needs more work. But you get the idea.

How about pulvy instead of graboids? Leave the time for the hour glass.

Looks very similar to what I run for fun, kitten-tall!I usually use 4 shields, 2 dragons and 3 fractals, and with 5 towers instead of 5 pends.
Is there a specific topic for that deck? I've heard of it a few times, but a google search wasn't helping me, so do you know of one?
Here is the original topic (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,18696.0.html)

Why not try your hand at arena farming and get one section of arena decks and one of PvP :)
Given up farming for the moment. I much prefer mucking about with decks in trainer.

For the last deck (nightmare instead of fractal), I'm a bit confused on how it works.
Are you supposed to nightmare your opponent with ball lightnings after putting on bone wall, and make your opponent use them in order to get quarta for dragons and increase wall size? Seems a little risky if your opponent has other creatures already on board.
It can be, to be honest. If the AI was consistent when it played the ball lightening you could play a fresh bone wall (as long as there was less than 7 creatures, Ball lightnings immediately die after attacking and before the next one does, so can never wear down a bone wall no matter how many as long as it is more than 1) before they hit the table and be fine. However it sometimes plays them immediately  and sometimes never.

I'll have to put very rough speed and stability numbers next to the decks. That one is slow and unstable, but still an interesting concept.

More shards of readiness, if you can. Also when you have a fair few then having a couple of nova to help pay for them is useful.

I'd cut down on the number of dragons so you don't just get a handful of them. Some precogs or sundials (if you've added nova) would be a good thing to replace them with.

Heh, did a quick google search on fractal and schroedingers cat but didn't come up with anything.

Have you played with it since 1.29 came out? It is now a lot smoother and needs less entropy quanta (1 for the skill) so you are multiplying the quanta even without multiple soul catchers.

Original is here  (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=18696.0)

Try this
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5lk 5lk 5lk 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oh 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5on 5on 5on 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 8pn

Basically you are quanta heavy with not enough elite queens.
