Rainbow Decks / Re: Shak'ars Revenge (FG-Voodoo)
« on: February 19, 2011, 06:59:25 pm »
Note: I haven't bothered calculating the electrum made per hour, so I left that part out. All I know is that in two days, I have won 19 cards (3 of them rares, which will never be sold) Also, the time listed on the statsheet is the total time spent on this. I constructed "blocks" in which I played this deck to gather data. Over a course of 48 hours (minus sleep, school, etc.), I played against FGs with this deck in six hour blocks (approx.). Played in a block twice per day, for two days... (obviously, I went over 24 hours, but you get the point... I hope.)  ::)
Woah!  That's some hardcore farming!  Hope you had fun.  Are you sure about that card win rate?  (19/157) 12.1% is much lower than the expected win rate of 33-35%.  If so, that's some tough luck!

Trio & Quartet / Fast Deck is Fast - Version 1.27 Rush
« on: February 19, 2011, 01:52:48 am »
This deck attempts to combine the mechanics of two rush decks for 1.27 and put them into one super fast rush deck (shameless self-plug):

Smokey Bear (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21375.msg291949#msg291949)

Blitz 'EM (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20415.msg291783#msg291783)

And the deck itself:

A bit of a work in progress in preparation for 1.27.... any suggestions would be great.  I'm already thinking of adding some wind towers and -1 heal +1 fog shield.

I edited the first post to update to what seems to be the optimal build of what I've tried so far.  I will probably mess around with various combinations of dragons, unupped & upped phoenixes, & golems.  If anyone can beat the stats for what I've posted by changing around creatures a bit, please let me know and I will consider testing and updating the build.

*Note: My spreadsheet was off on the TTW formula on the original posting, that data has since been updated and the previous data was locked away in a confidential file :)

looks a lot like angry santa deck...
Here are some similar decks used for inspiration:

No Land Stompy (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,12102.0.html)

Angry Santa (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,12659.0.html)

Angry Santa is based primarily off land for quanta and substitutes more firepower for healing.

Deck looks really nice, keep it up.
Makes me happy to have received your endorsement, Will, on a deck that uses life  :))

I messed around with this bad variant, which is both mindnumbingly simple, and fun to play in a reverse-Shakar's kind of way.

wouldn't unuppued phoenixes work better?
Maybe, I haven't tested this a whole lot.  That would bring the creature quanta required to 7x6 + 10x2 = 62 :fire, not including rebirths.  6 cremations produce 6 x 9 = 54 :fire, so you would have to change the dragons to lava golems or maybe even brimstone eaters.  One of each?  I will mess with it and let you know.

With unupped and minor golems: 52  :fire vs. with minor phoenixes and dragons: 32 :fire

**Edited the original post to include both builds.

Duo-Decks / Re: Blitz 'EM - Sky Blitzing Elemental Mastery - Elder deck

Is it faster than USEM now?
I'll try it in the trainer, but I doubt it.  Due to USEM being a mono, it is inherently more efficient as a grinder even versus slightly faster decks.
In this case, the fact that USEM is a mono and this is a duo does not create such a huge efficiency discrepancy since the damselflies are costless.  Meaning, the huge advantage that USEM has from pushing out 1-2 frogs on the 1st turn, is countered by the fact that this deck can push out damage as well, which exponentially increases its chance to push out more on the following turn.

The question is really, will the fragility of the damselflies hold up to become more efficient?  Or can they be protected in a manner which allows the damage/utility advantage it has over USEM to be maintained?

Again, my thought is that some of the variants may in terms of TTW, but not in overall clicks or time per game.  Certainly, the ability to add some PC, CC, or even a fog shield without greatly changing the deck makeup might help to reduce player frustration vs. AI3s.

It seems to me that the best versions include the Owl's Eye because the deck runs into alot of problems when it tries to outrush scarabs and otyughs.  Might even consider a 3rd OE variant as such:

P.S.  Bald Eagle is a really boring name and needs to be changed if it turns out to be the quickest.

History

In Smokey's quest to keep the world safe, he began to grow tired of fighting the endless battle against forest fires.  Everyday, all of the cremations, ruby dragons, phoenixes, and lava golems that blazed through his sacred forests were causing him stress.  Finally, Smokey saw the light, turned to Mrs. Bear and told her they were leaving the forest and moving to a place where there are no pillars trees.

In my quest feed my EM obsession utilizing my new favorite card: damselfly, I came up with this:

I was surprised that I could find nothing like it posted for AI3 farming.

Is it faster than USEM now?
I'm not sure.  It is definitely close.  It may beat USEM in terms of TTW, but it is probably slower overall in terms of time because of more clicking.  I will wait until 1.27 is officially released before I do 50 games of each.

I played the trainer with this for awhile tonight, EXTREMELY effective with the damselfly buff. I am very anxious for 1.27 to come out so this deck can be used for score!

Here are some ideas for variants I would also like to test:

The Bald Eagle:
Code: [Select]
7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7n5 7n5 7n9 7n9
The Homewrecker:
Code: [Select]
6rk 6rk 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7dm 7dm 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7n4 7n4 7n4
Swoop & Boom:
Code: [Select]
6rk 6rk 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7n4 7n4 7n4 7n6 7n6
The EliMinator:
Code: [Select]
7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7dm 7dm 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mt 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7mu 7n4 7n4 7n4 7n5 7n5
And as long as I'm bored messing around with names I'll call the first post: The Original Blitz 'EM

If anyone has any discussion on the deck or name change suggestions, please let me know.

This god breakdown astonishes me to no end, I'm afraid those percentages are off. Dark Matter 20%? I mean seriously? I'd be glad with just 1% (though I just autoquit, it's even worse than Graviton >_>).
Chaos Lord seems low, Graviton high, Paradox high, Scorpio seems ridiculously low.
DM isn't as bad as you would think if you can get two pendulums out before the first black hole hits, then just hold your SN until you can play your combo to make sure it gets out.  His overall damage is relatively low which allows you to build aether quanta and draw cards.  Try and hold an extra BB + SN for a gravity nymph.

I think CL is the single toughest matchup for Shakar's but maybe that's just me. 6 mutations and 8 fallen druids means you are hoping on a crapshoot that he mutates your dolls into something useful unless you can get them out before he plays one of those 14 cards.

I agree scorpio seems low.  I felt I could have won alot more against him/her, but just had consistently poor draws.  Maybe it was the opposite with Grav and Paradox.

Against paradox its really important to play dolls earlier rather than waiting for a full hand of cards because you need to beat the anticipated TU spam.  Although I don't like to do it a whole lot, I probably use a defensive gforce/TU against Paradox and Miracle more than any other fg.

to beat scorpio/morte more i'm testing with purifies (upped purifies are pretty nice in this deck) in my deck (not enough games yet).
it works pretty good and i'll post stats later :).
Already tried that ::)
Works better against Scorpio and Morte, slightly, though normal variant is better overall.
I'll reiterate what was said here after testing awhile ago; purify means you can stall for an extra draw or two if it works out properly, and is barely useful against the other gods.  You are much better off using that card slot in a more efficient manner.  Just be sure to play your doll when you have plenty of health left against the poison gods, even if you don't have the necessary TU's or BB's to win at that point.  You are better off avoiding degening to death and at least giving yourself a chance to draw what you need.
