Just do 100 matches in trainer :o
I don't think you understand the logic and reasoning at work here...

The current problem isn't that it's impossible to test a deck's effectiveness, but that it takes much too long to do so.

:O Butbutb-b-b-b-b-but...

If you hate all those... then you are not a human! How can you HATE babies? How can you HATE stem cells?
Babies just sit around and crap themselves, and stem cells come from babies.  It's simple logic really.   :))

The one I have to bring up is poor ol' darkness.  I've already seen a few suggestions for "emo."  Please, for the sake of it's integrity, don't follow this advice!   :darkness should be calm, pondering.  Think classic goth music.   :death should be mournful, funeral procession-esque sounds, maybe with a bit of chanting thrown in.

The difference (which was touched on earlier) is the feeling when you attend the funeral of a loved one versus simply staring out into the darkness and thinking.

But in the end:
:darkness != emo
Ever.

icy, what if we hate fetuses, stem cells, babies, giygas and ramen?  I have to say, I am not going to vote for you because I am ashamed of what you stand for!

Wow, I thought I'd have a chance in this one!  Guess I've got to go with something a bit more simple next time.   :P

The one where people beg for specific farms and is 20 pages long?  I don't think that's quite what he's looking for.

That's the whole point, berendho.  If they get you to come more often, you spend more time here.  The more time you spend here, the more likely you are to donate.  It's basic advertising strategy.

Lanidrak, it's interesting to see that someone else had this exact idea.  We were talking about it in chat a few days ago, and I'm going to get started with it.  Now remember, I'm not going to spend an obscene amount of time on it, mostly because I don't really enjoy programming AI, but I'll get the ball rolling on my end.  Anyone else want to start their own effort/help?

I like it omgarm.  You really captured how, well, abominal it really is.  Just say it's an abstract interpretation; nobody'll know the difference!

I think the rules are very clear on this. Each card in Elements either belongs to a specific element or 'Other'. When the rules say you must have at least half of the cards from your own element, that's exactly what it means. I really don't see where there's room for interpretation.

For example Quantum Pillars are 'Other'. They are not Water, Fire or Death. They are 'Other'.
It's fairly clear, but I'm still slightly confused.  If I have a deck of 30 cards and 10 pillars, do 15 of my non pillars have to be my color, or five of them?  I assume from your post that it would be the first, but I'd just like to clarify before I go too overboard.

The issue I can see with the pillars not counting towards your color is the forced bulking of otherwise sturdy decks.  One perfect example would be the graboid rush deck (x6 graboids, x6 shriekers, x18 stone pillars).  Since I'd only have twelve earth cards and eighteen "other," I'd be forced to pack in at least six more earth cards, for no good reason.

Any insight would be appreciated.

PS:  I have no issue with the "balancing" of this event.  It was brought up, and then you explained that it wasn't exactly meant to be fair, but not made unfair intentionally.  Well done.

I am not a hacker!  I won those invincible skeletons fair and square!  The oracle said that "Now would be a good time to pwn sum n00bz, oh 1337 1!"  What was I supposed to think?

I just feel that accusing others for legitimate errors in the game is ridiculous!  I guess I have to get a new account now, because I just won a super weapon called a "Pulverizer" that let's me destroy permanents.  The oracle's broken.   :(
