Introduce Yourself / Re: I am a REAL God!

Rainbow(FG) is threatening to take away your Rainbow deck if you don't change your name.
Rainbow cannot beat my double rainbow.
I think that one day he will mysteriously find that he is

a)Unable to build an Anti FG deck
b)On an unlucky streak when battling FGs

but more likely:

c)All of the above.
Yeah, well, I'm just letting them win :P

Maybe that's because no one wants to be embarassed after losing to "Fake" Gods despite he is the "real" one.  :P

Anyway, welcome to the forum.
Or, maybe because no one else is a real god? Haha.
Welcome to the fourms, you will soon realise thought that you arnt the real god here......ZAN is :)
Bring me a duel with this ZAN you speak of! We will see who the REAL god is!
(no not really, don't tell him I said that)

You better, watch out, so-called "RealGod". Morte, Hermes, LionHeart, Rainbow, Scorpio, Obliterator, Akebono, Jezebel, Serket, Dream Catcher, Decay, Elidnis, Ferox, Eternal Phoenix and all the others are hunting you down... also me, the King Of Armagio! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well... I can safely say that I can easily beat all of the above. If I wanted to... But most of the time I don't feel like it so I lose on purpose to make them feel better.  ;D

Very interesting card, but would that mean if you targeted it with a buff it would also gain the additional +2/+2? You could drastically increase it's power like that.

And have you seen the difference between having a light in an already lit room and having one in an extremely dark room? The light is brighter in the darkness.  8)
That's because Light is constantly competing with itself, trying to outshine other sources of light. Using darkness as a scapegoat to further one light is not what I like.
You're right, but that wasn't what I intended with my card.

Why :darkness?
He wants to represent how there's Light in :darkness. Personally, I'm against it. It fits Darkness by no means, and promotes the stereotype that Light is strong enough to survive, no matter how much Darkness there is.
You're probably right, however I wanted to create a duo-element card involving two opposites. The point in the opposites was to make it troublesome to play; also, I thought the element choice fit the image (sota?). And have you seen the difference between having a light in an already lit room and having one in an extremely dark room? The light is brighter in the darkness.  8)

You do realize the upped could become incredbily strong with hope especially since it's immaterial and and requires a less expensive duo in comparison to FFQ correct?

The upped should not be immaterial and I think that the cost should be at least be 4 | 3 since most spawners are generally expensive. Nepycros also makes a good point about the thematicness - it is possible for there to be complete light or complete darkness.

Maybe make it  :entropy?
Then its still a light in the chaos, but it can combo with improved mutations.
No. That would make it even less thematically related (how does chaotic energy promote light? There can be absolute turmoil as well.) and would make it even easier to set up a mutant combo between Fallen Elf and this.

Also this seems really similar to Bloodhshadow's Lumineferous Aether (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7231.0.html) without the Ball Lightning part.
It could become powerful with hope, I intended it to be used with it, but it's not any more overpowered than a hope/rol/fractal deck. If you used a hope/rol/neverending light deck you would need to have all 6 Neverending Lights out to generate 6 Rol's per turn. With one fractal you could have a full hand of Rol's (up to 8) instantly and ready to play.

I hadn't compared it to the FFQ/Hope strategy when I came up with this. I figured that since Rays of Light are so weak (1/1) compared to fireflies they would need to be much cheaper. A fire buckler would just kill this strategy, so what would be the point of having an infinite supply of them? Everytime you make more they would in a turn.

The reason I gave the permanent immortality is because I thought the creatures would be vulnerable to CC, so why not make the permanent invulnerable? Compared to the spell fractal, which your opponent cannot stop, this permanent would be similar.

The upgraded version means that the card is immaterial, not the Rays of Lights that it generates. The name ideas for the unupgraded and upgraded card were taken from this Star Trek episode. Introduce Yourself / I am a REAL God!

So I started playing Elements a while ago (and was shocked that no one came up with the name RealGod) so I created a new account with that name. I only decided to join these forums when I found the Card Ideas and Art section.

:rainbow I love rainbows, they're so awesome.

CURATOR COMMENT:
-Please ensure that the TEXT section of your table reflects the text on the card image:
   +Generate 12 quantums, 1 for each element. Gain +0 / -1 should be Generate 12 quantums, 1 for each element and gain +0 / -1

very interesting card. Nova on a stick, but not really. Seems like it would do well in an earthbow.
Oh right, I overlooked that when I put in the new version...

Nice card! Certainly see a lot of versetility in a  :rainbow deck. :D Although 4  :light is a little bit much for just 3 more health...
I was thinking that the 4 :light quantum would help balance it out, because if you had 6 Suns on your field you could generate a godly amount of quantum. I'm not sure though, since I can't test it in game  ::)

Deck Help / Re: Fractal/Phoenix Plz Help
« on: March 27, 2011, 09:18:47 pm »
It seems this deck has too much fire quantum, you have cremations and brimstone eaters and fire pendulums while your highest costing fire card is only 2 fire quantums. You could either throw in a few Fahrenheits or switch your mark to fire and replace pendulums with Aether. It might take too long to gather enough quantum for your fractals since they cost 9 :aether each.

Try this:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7dh 7dh 7dh 7dk 7dk 7dk 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dp 7dp 7dp 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 80i 80i 80i 80i 80i 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8po

You get more than enough quantum to play a whole hand of phoenixes since they're so cheap, so try using Aether Pendulums since you need more  :aether to play the fractals. If you want you could also try putting in a few phase shields.

I think the upgraded version, instead of gaining more attack power, should have it's skill cost lowered (maybe to 1 or 2  :light instead?)  Sacrificing a creature and costing 3 :light is too much just to generate one fire bolt.

Wow. Nova on a stick. OP.
Not exactly, the cost of playing the card and the different element required to use the effect combined with summoning sickness (no instant quantum) and possible CC from your opponent keeps this from being overpowered.

this definitely works better as a permanent, but instead of sun for upped, you could call it sun ray.

I think the concept of using water as a means of rainbow quanta production seems pretty ok, though i dont think a sun can qualify as a creature. which is why it should be a permanent.

overall its good in concept but in mechanics it only just replicates nova.

besides , there is no black or white in a rainbow. those are shades.
hence  :darkness  :light dont fit into the concept.
I agree, making it a permanent would have made a bit more sense...However, if it was a permanent then you could use enchant artifact and you would have an unending supply of quantum. Even immortal creatures can be affected by things like the fire buckler. What could get rid of a sun, if it was a permament?

A Light card losing HP?! Let's get an Archangel out here...
The point of it being light is so you can't heal it :) If you're using a rainbow deck you couldn't have too many angels or else you're quanta wouldn't be balanced. Too many angels and you wouldn't have enough light quantum left.

Self explanatory effect, this card would turn a target creature or permanent into the upgraded version. It may be nice for beginners to have in their deck, but veterans could just pay the 1500 Electrum to upgrade a card anyways.
