I'm staying, too, and would like to choose option 2: make new picks for the FM.

Wait what? FMs guarantee survival? That's slightly stupid :/
I think the idea is that the players without FMs won't have much chance to make it into the top 8 because they would have to rely on higher-ranked players losing many Relics in their upcoming FMs. But the only way to lose Relics is to spend them, which a player can easily prevent if they want (e.g. to give ralouf1 a chance, each one of majofa, Absol and Kakerlake would have to spend 8 resp. 3 Relics and each of them would have to lose all their FMs - that's impossible, look at the FM table). For me, it's a pity that many players who did really well have to go, plus there are many prominent names amongst these.

I'm in, and new picks (sorry for the extra work there Gyro).

Also, gah! I get another round 5 opponent with fewer than average mark bans!

Edit: When should we be aiming to have our floating matches completed by?

I don't follow. Players like UTAlan currently have 5 relics vs. my 20 - yet UTAlan survives (nothing against UTAlan, he just happens to be last ATM). However, he advances while I am eliminated.

UTAlan is not eliminated because he have a FM (he forfeits it anyway)
Even if he play it out, most likely he'll still got eliminated.

I make for a better example than UTAlan. You've scored 20 relics in 6 matches, but I've scored 18 in only 5 matches (because my round 5 opponent was inactive). If I win my floating match with a high relic gain then I can still make the top 8 after 6 matches. Round 7 won't start until all floating matches have been resolved so that everyone is on equal footing when players are eliminated.

I updated the original post with the results of the two FM that have been completed (Absol vs. mrpaper & Absol vs. Kakerlake).
NikaZaslavsky & xdude having not answered and having a huge amount of Relics to catch up... I supposed you don't want to continue :(
The FMs involving players who surrendered have been cancelled, which raises a problem :
Two matches (drolly vs. Onizuka & Kakerlake vs. majofa) are unchanged. For the first one, Grid will be available in the first post in 10 minutes. There are three players left alone with a FM : Helston, annamall and Onizuka.
I can of course schedule a match between two players, and the last one will be left.
Same goes for Round 7 : 11 players chose to continue, and one of them will be left alone by the pairings.

I found two possible solutions : wait for another player to be eliminated after one of the two running FMs (which doesn't solve the lonely FM player problem), OR asking for a very kind player to play the matches for... nothing.

Suggestions are welcome, as Round 7 awaits :D

EDIT : Found a third solution : starting Round 7 with 11 players, and the lonely player plays against the lonely player of the Floating Matches. But that may imply an awkward glitch between round events.
Went AWOL. No reason.
Now silent. May return.
