Helston 0 - 3 drolly
Helston picked and played very well, kudos to him. His decks could have easily countered me and one would think they are faster than mine as well. It's only that RNG screwed his first two duels and I lucked out three times in a row.

I thought about picking a Sola' Powa' build first but came to the conclusion that it would lack necessary healing with the given grid. It should turn out that Helston had done that.
Yep, it's Mono Darkness time today. After much consideration, I decided this would be able to counter most of the other decks people could find in the grid. Anyway, this deck type had much success in former rounds, so I chose to play it. My picks were not the riskiest possible for that build because I wanted to raise the odds for a win. And it proved to be wise not to prefer Steal over Liquid Shadow.

An allrounder build, good if you don't know which type of opponent you face. I saw a Light Pillar and a Life Mark, the rest was obvious to me. I was almost about to ask Helston if we could exchange picks and decks because I realized how easily he would have been able to outrush me. But the poor guy didn't draw any dragons in time, I almost felt sorry for him
. Admirable was his choice to cast Mitosis on the Rustler to ensure quanta generation and make me face an army of small critters.

Forget the 2 Dark Pendulums, I was too lazy to buy additional pillars. And notice that Earthquake is not in the grid.First, a sigh of relief while looking at the grid: Helston won't have mass healing (Heal and Empathic Bonds). Secondly, screw the Devourers: 2-3 of them aren't able to eat up enough quanta and summoning them just hinders the flow of my own (don't forget that his rush might be faster!). This time, my opponent feared Drain Life and Liquid Shadows, so he spared the Rustlers and went for Mono Life. Again, no dragon until the 15th card draw. I could outweigh the damage caused by the few frogs (without Adrenaline) with my LS'ed dragons. At the end, Luciferin healing gave me a hard time and I'm sure Helston has picked Hope. But it was GG before he could get it out.

Never change a winning team, and this deck is the best counter to his. This time he did have dragons in the opening hand, more than he wished for, actually. However, he made the mistake to tell me via in-game chat, which caused me to hold back my dragons and wait for >20
to build up while carefully watching his quanta generation. I managed to kill the first two Emeralds instantly while slowly summoning my fellas. Before things could get critical, Liquid Shadow did its job well by nullifying damage from the other two.
