I could have had a shot if i went with the 3rd deck the whole match since that one ended 3hp to 0 with exact dmg from his side. Meh.

An early Gravity Shield pretty much won this game for me.  Once I realized I was going to win, I didn't play the Colossals or Accels I had so that I could surprise him next game.

I added another Titan for its incredible damage and two more Gravity Shields in case Jocko tried to use Accel'd Armagios again.  Chimera and Armagios to out-race my chargers, but the momentum'd dragon did respectable early damage and forced a low-damage Chimera that wasn't enough to save Jocko.

I expected he'd change from the mono-gravity he was using in some way, so I only took the one gravity shield.  A really, really tense finish.

I picked a firestall of the grid, I assumed it could win even without deflags and farenheit and it did beautifully!  On game 1, he was beated easily by it.  Then he had to leave, when he came back today, I hope he had no solutions for it in his available cards so I went for it again... his Trident destroyed my deck!

I was pretty sure he'd come back with tsunami so I went for something else, keeping my sanctuaries for healing but using a combo of abominations and crusaders for damage.  I won with 2hp!

I decided to go back to firestall, but spreading all the different quanta I could have, it's not much efficient for fast draw, but it should give me more breathing room to hold against tsunami.  I got an early sanctuary and fire shield.  I killed his 1st dragon on the spot with a bolt and then watched my energy lowered down to 4hp until I drew my miracle!  After that he didnt do much damage to me, his dragons slowly dying 1 by 1!

drolly 3 - 1 ji412jo

I misread the rules before picking. I thought that you gain 10-n Relics where n is the maximum of the following: For each card, take the number of times it has been picked in Round 1. Yes, I counted the number of occurences. I chose to go for 8 Relics according to this assumptions but ironically, my picks are worth 8 Relics with respect to the actual rules as I take it (except if I've overlooked something, correct me if I'm wrong).

A8 - Reflective Shield
B6 - Spark
C11 - Lava Golem
D1 - Gravity Pull
E2 - Silence (Target)
F3 - Freeze
G4 - Immolation
H9 - Phase Dragon
I7 - Sundial
J10 - Toadfish (Target)
K12 - Plate Armor
L5 - Photon

Relics spent: 0

Didn't anyone think of building a stupid Immo/Golem Rush yet? Yes, it's very vulnerable but still effective if not countered quickly.

The best rush I could build: Plate Armor for Golems against things like Fire Shield or weak early bolts. Randomly thrown in CC via Gravity Pull and Freeze. If you get overwhelmed and have a bad draw yourself, Sundial can help you out. Yeah, my opponent had Dune Scorpions but bad luck:

Oh, my opponent is using Reverse Time and Miracle? Time to get my Silences. Unfortunately, I played 3 of them too early to prevent Scorpions. He reversed my only Golem 3 times which screwed me completely. Poison ensued.

Back to the roots: It's better to have a steady :fire quanta flow against Reverse Time. After two uncountered Golems it seemed like I'd won. Got lucky that he didn't draw any of his 6 sundials, after two turns of stall I'd have lost.

The deck marked "for very special cases" in my library. Uses only auxiliary picks but is immune against RT, isn't it? And Gravity Pull can break the poison flow. And Silence against you-know-what and you-know-what - okay, I'll take it this time. It went very well, I didn't even face a Scorpion. Obviously he wanted to deck me out. Miscalculated the Silence chain but won anyway because of the 3rd Dragon appearing in time :)

Yay for my first Grid win 8) but kudos to ji412jo because I had to admit that I got quite lucky :-[.

Saw a fire pillar with the light mark and immediately knew it was a firestall. To counter this I BB'd my own shriekers. Came down to the last couple of turns, but I just didn't have the firepower to get through the sancs. Screenshot (http://puu.sh/hIjy)

Came packing EQs for a repeat of the firestall. Won without taking a scratch. Screenshot (http://puu.sh/hIn5)

Figured I'd see the firestall again. Thought it was only 35 cards, so I just picked an arbitrary extra number of cards. It was 40 this time. Forfeited upon seeing he had a bigger deck.

If it ain't broke, why fix it? Won without taking a scratch again. Screenshot (http://puu.sh/hIvQ)

Despite the fact he said he was bringing pendulums to counter EQ, this was my only stall breaker.

Got out an early shrieker, which I BB'd, and a longbow. Panicked when I realised how well one can counter an EQ deck with a very wide pendulum/pillar split. With him sitting on 3 :light, I EQ'd his only light pendulums, and slowly wore him down with the longbow and shrieker. Three more shriekers in hand ready to go, and it was over when he hit 42HP. Thanks for the matches blackknight.
