Which card should I upgrade next?

Yeah.. just like the rules in the Deck Help board indicate, you really should give us more info before you ask such a question. I.e. what cards do you have upgraded? What deck are you going for next? If you don't know, what do you want to do next? What's your next goal?

I wanted this posted to be open-ended, and I want to see generally what people think are good cards to upgrade. I also didn't want to influence what was suggested based on what I already have in case someone else was looking for direction on card upgrades. Granted, some suggestions were denied since I already have them upgraded, but I am glad that they got posted. Also, I want to hear what people might suggest next...

Do what I did. Up 6 Solar Bucklers and 6 Holy Flashes. If you do not like that, what are your priorities?

That's not the issue. Threads need content (or I'm forced to remove them), and for that you need to present a discussion prompt. That does not disallow it to be open-ended. In fact, you can encourage that even more by stimulating discussion.

It's been said to death, but Instosis. All of it. You can do a lot from there. It's the gateway dru... deck.

Up all the shards. Competitions all ban shards.

Ya, I'm not too interested in upping ALL the shards atm. Especially since I'm just now getting into the PVP tournies, and they seem to, as has been stated, ban the shards.

Don't bother upping rares; you can just win them upped from gold/platinum arena.

Go with upgrading a bunch of pillars and pendulums; they're the foundation of virtually every deck, and winning upped ones from FGs is fairly rare.  You can also never really have too many of them :p  (well, you can, but that number is somewhere in the high 20s for each element for a fully upped 60 card deck with a very high quanta base)
