Rainbows and sundials! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2642.msg21454#msg21454

I don't understand what the heck Sundial do! It do not prevent my opponent from attacking for 1 round, only give one extra card when it ends...?

Also, I am making my rainbow deck, I get cash so slooow. Hear here, when I was full fire 30 deck, I owned ppl in like 5 rounds and on one day I got 1500 coins! Now, I have played whole day, and only got like 400 coins with my rainbow deck, so slow! I can not change back neither, since I had to sell my fire deck to get some starting rainbow stuff. Damn. :(

Sundial was good.  Then it was nerfed.  Now it's not.

Playing on Kong might cause bugs  ;)

Sundial was overpowered, their still necessary for a rainbow build. Not playing at kongregate, but what do Sundial really do? It says it prevent the foes to attack for 1 turn, but they do attack me... Hmm, did I misinterpret?

All creatures are prevented from attacking while Sundial is on the field, so that means that your opponent's weapon (in the weapon slot) still hits you. Same goes for poison damage.

If enemy creatures are still attacking you when you have a Sundial up, then there is a huge bug in the version of the game that you're playing.

Rainbow will be the slower deck, it takes a while to get cards and quanta. They are also easier to adapt to different situations. Speed vs Flexibility.

Ye, I see. Not so smart upgrading my hourglass before I got the rainbow deck finished.

Sundials are still good if you need time for otys to eat opponents cretures or your own skeletons/fireflies/cells. This is important against Divine Glory and in situations wher you need time and/or need to make your bonewall stronger.

Try to use a fast deck vs a FG and you'll understand why rainbow is better for those purposes.

HMmm. I noticed how veryone likes to use sundials for their decks. I find that it is like saying that you know your creatures won't ever be as good as those that the false god has. We all have to same creatures. I never use sundials because they block my creatures and the enemies. I can heal while they are up. But I cannot kill the FG and that isn't acceptable in my book. I also have more miracles and rely on lots of creatures to heal me through feral bonds.

The simple fact is most of the time your creatures are inferior. Sundials don't slow your deck down at all because you use it to draw a card. In effect they act just as filler cards but with the added goodness of stalling. Since you rely on healing, one turn of not getting hit means 1 more turn of healing. Surely that's a good thing?
