plea for help - upgrading cards and getting a decent deck https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=16754.msg214449#msg214449

can anybody here tell me a decent way (preferable not grinding for hours and hours)  to get upgraded cars and building a fully upgraded deck for FG and halfbloods.

i've been playing for over 3 weeks now and still got squat but a permafrost shield.. i grinded AI3 and lost it all again on T50 and FG grinding with (to my oppinion not working decks). and even when i won , T50 grinding is a painfully slow job to gather enough electum to upgrade 30+ cards

help please....

RoL/Hope only require 6 upgrades to work for anti-FG grinder, the RoLs themselves

and a minor correction...

For RoL/Hope, you might want to practise in trainer first to get an idea of the stratergy you use for each god and which are too hard.

There are 2 ways to play hope rol, speed to win as fast as possible or the EM strategy.
I prefer certain wins and thus has always gone with the EM strategy with 31-33 card decks.

The winrates can differ as much as 20-30% based on speed rol/hope and EM rol hope (usually called stall version when talked about).

My highest winrate over all FGs were 61-62% after 250 games. Then the increase in sog cost came and some AI improvements and it went down to 59%, And since then even more AI have come so The EM route would probably lie around 55+% winrate.

Also I've noticed that depending on time and day you will get about 10 FGs the most and 10 aboult half as much and the last 4 almost never or not at all. Farm FGs on the days you get the easy ones (for you) a lot. Do t50 on those days when the FGs tends to beat you often.

Yep, some practice is needed (i.e. knowing what to do in each situation) before you reach a decent win-rate. Also, there might be something weird with your deck build that makes it less effective than it's supposed to be.

Take a look at a sample build (only the RoL need to be upgraded for the deck to function), and the accompanying strategy guide (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6546.0.html).

Do you have the lobotomizes? They are absolutely necessary in some of the FG games.

As for T50, try a version of Vreely's fire rush. Its cheap and its effective.

I can tell you that you only need 4 RoLs to start grinding. at first it will be slower but you'll get the money for the upgrades pretty soon.

I know because I went ahead with only 4 RoLs and managed to upgrade the whole deck in a few days. You might get bad draws more often, and you'll feel the lack of RoLs sometimes, but I'm certain that skipping hours of grinding for a little drop in score won't matter that much :P
(Just remember to get 6 RoLs ASAP)

I did that, then I came back after a long time :P. It's not that boring once you get involved with the community. Don't be shy, participate on the forums as well as in the chat/weekly tournaments, etc. and you'll see how your gaming experience drastically improves.
Saturday's tournaments (this week's one) (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,16549.0.html) might not be too noob-friendly, but Sunday's unofficials (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,13984.0.html) most certainly are.
More in line with my previous comment, you'd better have a failsafe of around 500 electrum, just in case.

i read the forum reguarly and try to post . but i'd like to be able to play some nice decks without having to grind for hours and hours and hours. the normal card cost up to 120 electum , i can live with that. but 1500 to upgrade 1 stinking card... thats just crazy ...

isn't there like a foolproof way (newbieproof way) to get stinking rich in notime so i can build some decent decks... (and i don't mean the more money button in the trainer...)

There is a very simple way to start building decent decks in very little time.  It happens in three steps:

1) Realize that grinding FGs and grinding AI3 are essentially the same -- you're grinding.  If your goal is to have fun by doing something other than grinding, you need to look into PVP, not toward FG farming.

2) So, get good at PVP.  Really good.

3) Win tournaments.  Every tournament win nets you 5000 electrum and a rare card you can sell if you want.

Alternately, you can donate $5 to get just over 1000 ep.

Alternately, you can cheat, but then you'll get caught and have to stop playing anyway.

So, either spend money (not a great option), win tournaments (not an easy option), or commit to grinding for electrum as efficiently as possible.  In almost all cases, that means using a Life rush w/Heals to get fast EM victories over AI3 until you can upgrade 6 cards, then a Golem rush to speed-grind t50 to earn 3xLobotomizer, then RoL/Hope to speed-grind FGs until you can build Shakar's Revenge and speed-grind them even faster.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.
