Motivation

Since search option doesnt work and i couldnt find such a thread i decided to open one

so my question to you is: whats your long term motivation for playing elements?

i started playin a year ago or so.. and played for maybe 1 week, then forgot about it and now im playing again for like 5-6 weeks
i really enjoyed creating new decks and trying to get better, but since one week i got to a point where i finally could beat the false gods and golden arena. since then i can swim in electrum if i want and build every nearly every deck. so then i started farming for shards because those were the cards i was missing, now i got all the shards (maybe not 6copies of each but enough) and can beat platinum arena league.
and suddenly the games starts to bore me a little
i need some kind of goal, playing endlessly just to creat different decks, upgrading them, just doesnt seem that fun

so, now tell me - why are you playing? (i know there are some guys in this forum who are already playing for years)

Just trying to get all cards, and maybe try to interact with this community. Upping cards take long, specially when starting, so that takes a lot of patience too.

For almost a year, PvP has been the only reason I'm playing.
Go and enter a tournament or join a league.

Honestly, I don't really have a motivation.  I find that playing a few games a day and occasionally sitting down for a grinding session is enough to keep the game fun and interesting.  I learned that awhile ago when I played nonstop.  If I had to choose a motivation, it would probably be the community.

For most of us long-term forum members:

Come for the game, stay for the community.

I play a few games every day (Oracle FG, maybe a few rounds of Silver Arena for the new shards) and the occasional forum-organized PvP match (War, occasionally a Tournament or PvP Event), but that's about it. I eventually want to have 6+6 of each non-Nymph, non-Mark card, but that's a long-term goal that I'm in no hurry to reach.

A lot of my Elements-related time is devoted to hanging around in Chat, PvP Event strategizing, or forum staff duties.

But seriously I want to come up with new decks. I want to come up with at least one good, original deck to share with the community before I stop playing. I mean it doesn't have to be Grabbix or anything, something classy like Bonebolt or Gl1tch's Trials deck. Not even as well known as those decks but something that you'll occasional see pulled out in a PVP event and people will be like "oh one of those".

I also want to try to break into PVP events as well.

That's what I want to do as well. I want to make a deck that will go on after I am gone. Of course I would come back and update it.

- highest score (currently, 1mil+)

Okay, joking aside, the reason why I stay:
- War
- other PVP events
- new cards
- community

Well for some reason in the PVP decks section, NoTP is credited for me, so I'm more or less ready with that
(feels good when some random player in the PVP room greets with "ohai Acsabi, thx for inventing NoTP!!" altough I tell every time that I'm not the sole inventor)

I am still palying elements after a year and a half because of the continuous improvement of the game, the new features, etc.
I do not set many goal for my grinding, just managing to have a deck that can stay in plat league #1 for at least a few minutes, and maybe reach some title either related to the game (master of sth.) or to the community...

i never really thought about motivations..

just thought of these right now:
