Lava Destroyer + Heavy Armor = 7/7

Just an idea as LD needs some stone anyway and HA is very cheap, the association LD / HA could be very powerful summoning directly a 7/7 LD !

Is there any deck exploiting this idea ? I havnt found some but maybe i've missed something.

Extra HP doesn't really help things survive. It's sad but true.
I'd rather pay 7 and one card for a reliable phoenix than 5 and an extra card for a 7|7 destroyer.

One of the versions of Zombie's giantslayer deck (cremation/lava golem) had a single heavy armour just to help against things like fire shield, but it wasn't an integral part of the deck.

The only time I've ever seen heavy armour used in a practical way was in combination with Otyughs, so that they can devour more things, obviously.  You could also use it in a deck with gravity shield on your opponent's creatures to prevent them from attacking; this could possibly work in an earth/gravity duo that had otyughs already anyway, although anything that gets through gravity shield can just be eaten by otyugh.  It could be used against venomous creatures that would poison the otyugh.

That's about all I've got for practical uses.  It's a very rarely used card, and I don't think I have ever used it myself, either unupped or upped.

I think the only time I have seen it used effectivly was in arena and it was either 1. mass HA on an Oty. or 2. Mass HA + Mass Rage elixir on Lava Golem.

In one case it is for Oty to eat. in the other it is for rush damage in a turn. (speed up the growth of Lava golem). but i cant tell you what the full deck was.

Lava Destroyer+ Heavy Armor can be a great combo, but you may add some rage elixirs.

Lava Destroyer + Heavy Armor + Rage Potion/elixir = Profit But good thing with Heavy Armour is you can deal with fire shield and oty's

Seen it used against me in PVP. Quite annoying really. First turn cremation gets them a 7|7 creature that grows and can't be maxwelled or lightning'd.

Hmm yes.  Hermes has mastered this art quite well.

People always overlook the Scarab+Heavy Armor thing... It's very powerful, especially if you're playing a Nova or PSNbow, a 2/7 devourer with good potential of coming out on turn 1 is a hard thing to handle for most decks.

But you sort of have to build your deck around it then, no? Without HA, a lone Scarab is pretty sad..

Edit: Might be better if you replaced something with SoR. Heavy Armor isn't even all that good in this deck; it pales in comparison to the stuff that boosts attack too.

Problem is, HA isn't worth a card slot in a LG deck.
Oty, Scarab and whatnot are a different matter tho.
Some ppl even play it in conjunction with gravy shield to prevent the opponent's creatures from hitting them.
