ninjaed by SG

As it was the first time that they were put into place applications were taken for the jobs. These individuals were then picked on the following basis (from what I understand)

 1. Activity on Forums
 2. knowledge of the Element
 3. Forum Standing (ie are they liked, disliked, hated etc)
 4. Time in game (not per day but overall how long have you had experience for)

Thats what I figured but here is the original thread:

Thanks

Please note the lack of "You must have a deck of the element you want to Master, preferably upgraded".

I noticed that as well Bobcamel. I was also surprised when all the Masters of the Elements were complained about how they didn't have upgraded decks, or didn't want to grind to get them. When I saw the title "Master of ____" I assumed they were beastly elements players who had made some of the better decks for their element. I also thought it was funny that Essence wanted to be Master of Life, what a foreign thought. Funny that Bloodshadow made a comment on which mono decks were good and which were bad. He said a light mono-deck would get pwnt, yet he was scare of losing to one with his Darkness Mono in the battle of the elements. Anywho, I was dying to figure out what Being a Master meant since the competition anyways.

@Tea: Mono-Light can kill Mono-Dark pretty easily due to Holy Light. But it's uselss against anything that's not Darkness or Death. You'd arrive at this conclusion if you really think about it.

To me, being a Master of an element means you have to know that element. You don't have to have godly decks, but you must have a completely thorough understanding of that element, its cards, its strategies, its synergies, and everything related to that element. To me, it's the knowledge that matters.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Yep. Being good at the game counts a lot, but I agree with Bloodshadow in that it's about strategizing and skill, not upgrading cards or anything like that.

I also think community plays a big role. You have to be active in the community, helping people and participating in stuff.

And I third that suggestion. Element Masters are people you go to for help, council and advice not to fight your battles for you so they don't need uber decks to do that. They do need an understanding of their element as stated and the synergy in the cards their element uses, also they must understand the weaknesses as BloodShadow has pointed out.

All in all I think we have a good selection of Masters.

Yep. :) The main problem is that some of them are quite inactive / have disappeared (Coinich and Yoyobro come to mind). No matter; they will get replaced, Masters will fall, and the cycle will repeat itself. 'Tis the Mandate of Zanzarino.
