1. Not necessarily. I can go down into negative score and then by time I get to 10000 score I could have more than 8000-12000 worth of cards.

That's honestly only really true if you're playing something absurdly low win rate, i.e. fully or mostly unupped. Even then, it doesn't really happen that much anymore. It used to be a really big issue back in the liquid antimatter days, but firecell/LS/6-up rolhope don't usually appear to be a net score loss. In my testing, firecell is somewhere between break-even and several hundred net score gain per hour. Of course, there's no doubt that a bad luck streak can cause a net score loss, but I don't believe there's any recommended farming decks that have a net score loss on average right now.

If FGEI would hurry up and finish testing the cheap decks we'd know for sure. 

Yes. In fact, you only need a winrate of around 22% to break even with score against FG's. This was tested with unupped SGbow, improved LS/AM and a few other decks by Torb here. He arrived at the conclusion that his improved version of LS/AM was the best completely unupped rareless FG killer at the time, and you can see how close it is to breaking even here: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17730

Winning upgraded cards doesn't increase the score?

Winning cards, whether they're upgraded or not, never affects your score.  The increase in score is determined before the reels spin; unlike electrum, the score receives no benefit from the reels.

ok so i reset AGAIN. tried 2 play this literally everywich way imaginable as some of you can attest to seeing me/fielding my questions. The only upped cards i was able to attain was from ai4 using monoaether, noting that i had some real fun crushing a FG or 2 with chapuz,s help. tried many bronze(unup) decks & tried a few of my own(deck help) psiontal chargetal antagon 2k9dark ect. my question is .... i dunno ...WTF i guess

Why would you reset when you've gotten that far? An upped card is worth about 1.1k, well on your way to a more profitable deck against a higher level opponent. The problem with trainer is that you can't test decks against arena. I simply don't have the upped cards to try anything against gold and platinum.

Quite so solved by anecdotes of people presently fighting it and the aforementioned Community-recommended Decks. Simply do a little research and much unveils.

And actually, while you can't test against arena itself in trainer, you can use the custom AI button to simulate a level 80 arena opponent with a deck of your choice. Plenty of people have threads where they show off the decks they've submitted to platinum, so pick from those if you don't know the meta yourself.

edit: if it weren't for the fact that updates to trainer aren't even on the list of the top hundred things I'd like zanz to spend his coding time on, I'd say that it'd be neat to have the custom AI button updated to allow for other arena levels.

i reset when im no longer making any progress, sold the uped cards to keep playing until broke. or when im not getting anywhere in bronze even. tried using a poison deck to get to pdials but not even close. tried mono aether but couldnt do any better with the fractal charger/psiontal i was using in bronze. Higura i love aether too
