I found this very fun (and will say that having events where the 30post limit is waived is really good
).
The Rules of the Round were a good idea in my opinion. Although I usually didn't bother with them, they offered an interesting trade-off between going for a more normal deck that you know is consistent, and trying something unusual in the hopes of scoring bonus points.
My favourite one was the first round, as it forced you to not take complete mono-decks (Being rather new to PVP and a lot more confident in my ability to build mono-decks than balancing out a duo, it was nice to be forced outside of my comfort zone a bit).
The two-day timing was good in my opinion. I have a busy schedule and especially when the two days were my two busiest days of the week it was useful.
As far as points, unless you have someone really dominating the competition, in an event like this you will get a few people with around the same amount of points. One thing that might be do better to do is instead of having it completely random after round 1, pair people of similar point values against each other, in a pseudo-swiss system.
Thanks for doing this, I had a really fun time.
