balance of decks ... https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=18136.msg231036#msg231036

hi there ..

i'd like to expose my personal opinion:

this - in past excellent - game has come to absolute unbalanced chaos .... *every random rainbow* is stronger then fully upped (and with beauty in da best case) mono deck .... the most of people are playing now rainbows with no creatures but mindgates + shards and so ... i would never play rainbow in PVP ... i'm old-skulled fan of this game having more then 5000 fights and about 300 upped cards .. my win ratio in pvp is less ten 50% which is just disappointing ... sure i have several variants of rainbow killer with 90% win ratio but ...

i sugested it before but just once more: i want and i'm suggesting third type of PVP game where are disallowed quantum pillars ..

i'm playing less and less, it's boring to meet same and same decks and i'm pretty pleased when i meet in 1/10 games someone with nice and creative deck.

regards, daniel

and btw: all these new cards however are nice or interesting are ***vasted in rainbow decks****

ps. please much think about it ... i'm in touch with several people with same attitude .. we have beautiful decks which launch just "ouch, nice ..." avalanche .. i'm pretty sure that the most of people are playing this game just for PVP and this will fatally improve a playing experience and joy of nonnegligible part of people playing this ..

Unfortunately, a new PvP mode is a far off dream for the time being, however I can say that your problem with the current PvP is (imo) in dire need of attention. The main problem with this is that you are outnumbered heavily. Most people who play PvP use rainbows because they work (with the occasional mono) People like to share their ideas and post them. If someone makes an epic rainbow deck for PvP and posts it, 90% of the time people will use that deck as well. I do find this to be a growing problem, as people are beginning to ditch their own ideas for those posted here on the forums. The new T500 (expected to be released sometime next year) will encourage new deck building ideas and strategies, but the problem will still hold true. My solution for your current problem: post a deck, make it flexable, and watch how others will develop and build on your idea. A good reference would be Shak'ars Revenge (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14435.0.html) by Jangoo (you can just skip the part in italics if you want)

thanks for reply and idea ... just think about it a bit of deeper ... every mark has own advantages and own  weaknesses .. rainbow has not ANY ..
as you have written above sure you are very limited to build mono/duo deck which will rock against rainbow .. listen up:

i'm just convinced, that due to the added mainly spells, permanents or weak creatures having spell the balance went somewhere beyond a chance to play with nice deck which has some concept against rainbow which is just played by the most of people ..

we were been in past using creatures to kill opponents and shields to defence .. they were crucial card for getting won .. now it's spells and other permanents which is annoying and inane ....

why we're defeated by someone having not any creature ??

ps. thanks for pointing me at that shak'ars revenge topic ...

fire stall beats more rainbows than you could imagine as a mono, spice it up use a black hole and some earth quake you have instant rainbow destruction. Rainbow has many counters you just have to find them ;).
Whenever you feel alone and nobody is there, you can't feel more alive.

Dieing is easy, living is hard.

That there is the beauty of elements

While the common rainbow deck does have fewer weak spots than, say, a duo or a mono, it does have it's disadvantages:
Take a look at the False God, Dark Matter. This god was practically engineered to counter rainbows, Black Hole swallows up 3 of every quantum, gravity nymphs do the same effect at a cost of 3 :gravity.
Look at the rare weapon, Discord. This weapon has the ability to scramble up to 10(?) quanta from any element.
And finally, you have your staple PC and CC.

New cards are new cards, you just have to learn to deal with them. I suggest that you even try to build some decks with them, you'll see their usefulness then.

I'm not quite understanding what you mean here...

why we're defeated by someone having not any creature ??
Because you probably didn't have any CC

No problem.
BTW: It's a very good deck, you should try it out.

I beat rainbows with monos and duos all the time.  Rainbows suffer weaknesses an much as any deck that just generally have different weaknesses.

If you can't beat a rainbow with a mono, you are aren't building it right ;)
