Patience is a virtue. Still, I think it would be plain more fun if we got
something cool more often. Furthermore, I find it somewhat ridiculous that the rng gives some people not a single nymph while others get over twenty. If I was in the former group rather than the later one, I might have left by now.
In my opinion it would work better if instead of a bit over 3% chance of getting a nymph there was a bit under 9% chance of getting an elemental essence thing -three of which could be exchanged for a random nymph. The average time to get three of those would statistically be the same as the time it takes to get a nymph now, but it'd mitigate the extreme cases of luck and misfortune, as well as provide more of those "YESSS!!!"(tm) oracle moments. (And then there could be a system in place to choose a nymph by providing five essence things instead of three, but that's a bit besides the point.) In the end, however, replacing the current system for something like this would likely cause too much chaos and confusion to make for a sensible change.
