Question on Gravity Pull https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=42893.msg535014#msg535014

"The creature enchanted with gravity pull will absorb all the damage directed against its owner."

I have lost multiple times while gravity pull was in effect and I am wondering what the exact effect of gravity pull is.  It would be helpful if the card listed the exceptions or if the wiki page listed the rules where damage is dealt against the owner of gravity pull and is not absorbed.

I'm assuming that the damage not being absorbed is deliberate and the description is in error.  It seems like spell damage is not absorbed (I've noticed both Psion and Fire Bolt ignore the creature with Gravity Pull in effect and just deliver damage to the card's owner)

Momentum ignore gravity pull. Spell damage ignores gravity pull. Voodoo damage ignores gravity pull. Basically, gravity pull only absorbs non-momentum'd or non SoW'd attacks.

Thank you.

I'm trying to think of what a more accurate description would be for the card.  If I am understanding correctly "The creature enchanted with gravity pull will absorb all physical damage directed against its owner." would be more accurate but doesn't cover the momentum exception?

How about "The creature enchanted with gravity pull will absorb all blockable physical damage directed against its owner."?

Lots of EtG cards need rewording. But for future reference, gravity pull only absorbs physical attacks.

Very important to note as well: Gravity Pull doesn't absorb any damage done by weapons although this is considered physical damage (cf. shields).

It basically turns the creature into a meat shield.
