I'm not arguing that it'll have two bad hands in a row often, but on the dumb luck event that it does...

It seems to me, that on occasion, even really good decks get bad draws.  I consulted my legal and spiritual advisers, and together we have come up with a plan.  We thought you could make it so that you had a chance to get rid of a bad hand, and get a new one.  In our infinite wisdom, we thought the best plan of action would be as follows:

  • You draw a bad hand of 7 cards.
  • You are given a chance to redraw.
  • You reshuffle and redraw, only 6 cards this time.
  • If you get a bad hand now, you deal with it.
It doesn't seem like it would be difficult to implement, nor would it take a large amount of extra time in game.  You could even use it in PvP.

In before:  Anyone who claims that this idea wasn't mine originally can see that I have had this idea in the wiki for a while now.  http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/index.php?title=User:Rawrwiki&oldid=9928 (http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/index.php?title=User:Rawrwiki&oldid=9928)  Obviously it was my idea, I own it, and thus I get all the internet credit.  We also came up with a name for this awesome feature, the mulligan.

...then tough noodles?
This can be easily rectified.  If you are running low on water, increase the heat at which you are cooking, and slowly add more water.  Additionally, prior to draining the noodles, remove one noodle, drain the water, and blow over it for a second or two.  You can now taste this noodle for tenderness, and to determine the overall state of your noodly goodness.  One fun trip with stringy noodles, such as spaghetti, angel hair, and fettuccine, is to remove a noodle and throw it at the ceiling.  If it sticks, the pasta is done.

Actually...this idea was implemented into Magic: The Gathering a while ago...and the name, mulligan...I believe it originated with golf, from one David Mulligan. So you didn't actually come up with it, and the name has already been in use for a long time. o-o The more common name for a mulligan is a "do over."

If right now I'm getting one "bad" draw in five games, then with a one-time mulligan rule, it would only be once in 25* games, which I can totally live with.

* Maybe slightly more often than that, since the second draw only gets six cards.

Haha, i just wanted to suggest this feature, but i didn't know its called Mulligan.
Yeah, in any form, a redraw (but only if you have NO playable cards) would be good.
I don't think it is fair to allow the mulligan button everytime, only when there are NO playable cards in the starting hand.
