Elements App

I think someone, using their amazing powers of coding and stuff should try and make an elements app for iPhone and Android.

it could even be a paid app (i would be willing to pay for it) and people who buy it could gain a rare card or something similar

I can open the Elements on my Thunderbolt in a browser and it works great. No lag on 4g.

Maybe you can open it, but how easy is it to click individual cards in your hand when playing on a phone?  An app designed for a phone would likely have different proportions in the UI.

I opened it too in my smartphone, but it feels a little heavy for such a small device. No connection problems (and i'm on 3G) but it feels a little graphic intensive for a smartphone. I also think that it would be nice to have the interface studied for small screens.
Anyway, i think that this project is too big to be done.
There would be the big problem of keeping the app and the online game always updated, and this would be a big effort, basically doubling the work.

hmmm. I don't think we would be able to make an app of elements, as it is a flash game, and android is more closely linked to java, and iphone/ipad/itouch has their own operating system alltogether. what we might be able to do is a text-only version of elements, as suggested previously.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but an App version would require the whole game to be entirely recoded, and by the time it is actually done Android and iPhone will probably be able to run the browser-based game perfectly anyway.

Iphone will probably never be able to run flash, but android can already run the browser game if you download flash player for it (which you can; its free from the app store) the only real problem would be that when you use android to run it, it is really laggy, but that will probably be fixed soon as tablets and smartphones get more powerful.

If iPhones are never able to run Flash then Elements will never run on iPhone, because an App version would of course require separate coding. But yes, as you said, Android should be able to run it better in time. The lagginess could probably be solved if the code was optimized a lot more.
