Changes to Off-Topic section

I made some changes to Off-Topic section (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,5.0.html) based on community feedback. I removed some of the sections we probably won't need, and replaced them with new ones. I tried to choose the most "mainstream" suggestions that would be helpful as many people as possible. There are some like "Academic Help" that might not turn out to be very popular, but we'll see what happens. Sections that are ghost towns, will be later replaced by something else.

Myself, with the help from G-Mods, will move old topics during the next few days.

Just to avoid the usual "What happened to x?" threads being started, would it perhaps be a good idea to list which topics are being removed?  And the ones being added, for that matter.

Not sure if you used the word "topics" by mistake, but in case you didn't, I didn't delete any topics, only forum sections.

I removed "The Web" and "Creative Arts" because both of these can easily be broken down to smaller parts.

Please move this thread from a private archive to another section, probably "Books and Comics". This is NOT a forum game, because we're actually writing a BOOK. If we ever get it done, we'll even ask Zanz's permission to publish it.

Despite what it may look like in the thread, our 12 Realms writing project is NOT dead. Our private chatroom is active every day, with plot ideas being discussed and chapters being written.

Yeah i kind of mentioned that there needed to be some kind of novel writing section that went apart from the creative arts genre due to many people's misconceptions of art soley being painting, drawing etc.
I suggested that in the suggestion topic made prior to this.

I was thinking about this yesterday. Problem is that I'm not sure how to name them. Best that I could come up with was:

Literary Arts
Visual Arts

But the first one is kind of similar to "Books & Comics".

Hm.. maybe. But we already have "Music" so that "Audio" is probably not needed. Also we need a section dedicated to drawn art. That's why I thought Visual Arts would describe it the best.

Correction to by earlier post, I meant Literary Arts.

I thought about Literature, but isn't that more like about books that have been published. I mean if I write some crappy poem, I don't know if that can be described as Literature.

Sure it can.  I mean, E. E. Cummings' poetry is considered literature.

yeah, if it breaks the discrepancy between visual and literature, sure why not?
