Perhaps admins can have the power to 'unbind' the IP from the account, so if that happens, then the account could still be saved.

What if a hacker hacks into your account and binds the account to his/her IP instead of yours? Then aren't you screwed?
Not if you IP-bind it to yourself. If he somehow goes by the IP-Bind and manages to get the Account, you can maybe ask it back. If you can somehow prove you're not the hacker, but the account is now. Or.. that's what I think. It's probably the simple solution.

Also, the best password is a random jumble of characters, so bash keys wildly on a keyboard, translate stuff from base 16 to hex, take your favorite deck code and pick every 3 characters, or just use this (http://www.pctools.com/guides/password/).

It's not that hard to remember a random jumble of characters if you type it in every day. Soon, you'll be able to type it in without even knowing what it is. :D

I also have one failed login attempt message, and since the forums trace the IP of the person who, supposedly, tries to steal the account, should I post it/ redirect the message to anybody.
PS: changing password now.

Yes, I highly recommend making strong passwords and different passwords for every website.  You can always use something like 1Password or LastPass to keep track of all your different passwords.

PS: I've also had someone try to access my account twice now.

Had been pushed out of my account the second time, just a few mins ago (last time yesterday, after notifications), starts to get concerning (I changed my pass today).

Btw, the 'attacks' are from all over the globe, probably IP randomising, or such (I ain't no tech head); it's a problem that should be dealt with as soon as possible, some even got their account reseted..  :'(

To everybody who got failed login-attempts:
Plz backtrack the IP adress and check the owner of it.

Some time ago, I got 6 attempts. I checked the IP and it turned to be the company whose servers the forum is on. So most likely it was some forum or server glitch.

Two failed attempts.

I'd like to say that changing passwords on a monthly, weekly, or even daily basis helps a lot.

Edit : Same IP's here. Twice.
