Better, but you need to be tighter than that!

Regardless of intent, it's still possible for Patty and Jack to exist in one of the rooms we looked through and we missed their presence.

Fair enough, but because of the open-ended sense of this truth, it doesn't solve where they are still... they could exist somewhere else as well. (THE WARLOCK'S PORTAL OF DOOM)

Regardless of the actual source of the crimes, it's still possible for Patty and Jack to perceive us as a possible culprit and thus a threat. Alternately, they could have something else they wish to hide and did not wish to be seen, viewing any persons as possible threats to their secrets or safety.

Patty and Jack would not see you as a threat or culprit under any circumstances.

I cannot deny the second statement, but it does not help solve anything. >.>

Regardless of whether poison was actually ingested, Zack was poisoned. Perhaps he inhaled it or had it injected.
If not poison, it could be one of numerous documented medical diseases. Under strange circumstances, it could also be a new disease that we don't know about.
If not a disease, he could be faking his illness for some reason. I don't need to explain the reason!

Zack had no poison injected into him.

The inhalation part doesn't sound right - if he somehow 'inhaled' the poison from the environment, why isn't anyone else affected?

There are no diseased people on the train.

Also, if it was a 'new disease' that no one knows about, how would Olivia be able to treat it correctly then?

Finally: Zack would not fake an illness for any reason.

Also, can you please copy this either in the first or second post?

I'll break down the 6 mysteries that you guys need to solve, once more:
  • How did Zack get in his current condition?
  • How did the people in the driver's cart die?
  • How did the people in the 2nd cart's VIP bathroom die?
  • Where is Damien/how did he die?
  • How did Ivan get onto the train?
  • Where are the rest of the missing people?
And we keep driving into the night

Fair enough, but because of the open-ended sense of this truth, it doesn't solve where they are still... they could exist somewhere else as well. (THE WARLOCK'S PORTAL OF DOOM)

Don't be so soft, Warlock!

It is the Warlock's burden to answer valid theories with a black truth! It is not the human team's responsibility to explain the truth in whole, so long as the theory is valid and can be explained without magic!

By Devil's Proof, I do not need to explain my truth further until you provide more information in black that proves my theory impossible. It is not my job to solve mysteries, only to disprove magic!

Or perhaps you can't think of a way to counter without revealing Jack and Patty's true location?

  • Where is Damien/how did he die?
  • How did Ivan get onto the train?
  • Where are the rest of the missing people?

You are under the wrong impression on how to run this game, Warlock. Here are the revised 6 mysteries that we need to solve to better fit the framework of the game.

  • How is Zack's current condition possible without the use of magic?
  • How could the people in the driver's cart have died without the use of magic?
  • How could the people in the 2nd cart's VIP bathroom have died without the use of magic?
  • If magic isn't possible, knowing that he's dead, why aren't we able to find Damien?
  • How did Ivan get onto the train without the use of magic?
  • How can there be people missing from the train if magic isn't possible?

Note that while they are similar, they carry a different nuance to them. It's your responsibility to carefully develop these mysteries with the use of black truths! Otherwise us humans can claim anything we want and win without even reaching the truth! As the Game Master, there's no way that could ever be your intention!

For Kuro's defense, I have no problems with solving simple murder cases, even if they include no magic. Things have been changed, so I guess while a witch's job is to convince people that magic exists, a warlock's job is to hide more and more details from people to create a crime that is hard to solve (because i share the feeling with EvaRia that the story had nothing to do with magic, except the silly warlock dialogues which were out of place and the confused homeless mumbling magic in the end).

For now, I have another theory.
Quote
a woman (who wore expensive clothes) sat near the food server. ... The dark-haired guy partially danced away with a bottle of orange juice
Quote
he looked slightly disoriented based on his movements. Both of them headed downstairs. This can imply that he was already poisoned at that point, but it was not severe yet.
Quote
"y-yyou..." "pp-poois-s-soonn..." (when Olivia showed up)

Olivia was sitting at the counter in the 3rd cart when Zack got his drink from Shandelise. She had a chance to put anything poisonous in Zack's juice while Shandelise was moving items from the shelf/drink cooler to the counter. Zack even said to Olivia that she poisoned him. It might still be a distraction, but let's go with this first.

Olivia put something poisonous in Zack's juice. That's how Olivia knew how to cure him.

Also, shoutout to Kuro:

Okay.

So, I guess I need to steer this towards more 'magical' means, and less 'mystery' means, and thus, I'll have to be more deliberate in how I speak my black truths. Sorry about the wait you guys, but I needed some help.  :-X

Andrew - the college student - was the one behind the happenings and 'Iron Fist' Jack Rafferty... uh, I mean detective Damien was sent out to do an undercover investigation on a train. When things started to kick in, he moved into the 5th cart to check on Andrew, but he couldn't find him. When Andrew arrived back through the bottom floor staircase, he noticed Damien and killed him from behind. He then hid the body of detective Damien somewhere in the 5th cart.

...

Zack accidently inhaled a substance that was harmful for him.

Inhaled, because the key you found in Cart 2 had a very intense stench.

Zack did not inhale anything poisonous.

Damien is not a detective and was not searching for anyone.

This doesn't change the core of my argument. You only dispelled one possibility, and that was only an example. Here, let me generalize harder for you.

Zack was poisoned. Perfectly, humanly possible.

Repeat it in black!

"Zack was not poisoned."

FINE THEN FORMER WITCH. I SHALL GIVE YOU THE TRUTHS YOU HAVE BEEN DIGGING OUT OF ME.

Zack was poisoned. He absorbed the poison initially through his lips (not by ingestion!), thus causing it to spread through his bloodstream.

However, the 'poison' is unique in that it is only used in the medical field to cure a completely irrelevant ailment - it's also very volatile to handle in the hands of a non-professional. Who would carry and do such a thing?

Also:

Quote
Regardless of intent, it's still possible for Patty and Jack to exist in one of the rooms we looked through and we missed their presence.

You would not miss Jack's or Patty's visible presence if they existed in the rooms you searched and moved through.

That's how Olivia knew how to cure him.

...
Black truths are worse than red truths. They are a pain to read out and they cannot be seen when the sunlight shines on my screen from my window.

But wait!
Zack was the first one to open the juice bottle, thus making it impossible for the poison to be put into the juice before Zack drank it.

...also, I might be changing the 'dark black truths' to 'lame, but highly visible turquoise truths'. :(

Any human without an alibi could have brought the poison onto the train, then applied the poison on a floor that I was not present on. I've already explained that nobody on the train has a positional alibi if they're not in the same room as me!

Also, better cut in on this before I forget.

It's possible that Jack and Patty left the moving train at any point I wasn't in the same room as them. Someone noticed, then did not inform me or the police of what happened.

Even if they have no reason to hide it, they could have been killed before they had the chance to pass on the information.

Repeat it in black!

There are no hiding places inside the Engine Room.

There is no evidence of Jack being killed.

The poison was applied in a room you were not present at by a kiss.

Jack and Patty do not exist outside of the train.

Zack was poisoned. He absorbed the poison initially through his lips (not by ingestion!), thus causing it to spread through his bloodstream.
Does this solve the 'how did he get 'cursed'?' mystery?
If not, I'm about to say that the straw of the juice was poisoned.

Also, can you please strikethrough (like this) the mysteries in the OP which were already solved? Or put a 'Solved!' after them? I'm not sure which ones are solved currently and which ones are not. ?_? (following 4 mysteries were much easier in the previous game ^^")

Damien is not a detective and was not searching for anyone.
... okay, you disproved the story part, but didn't react for the technical part ...
Now again:

When Leo figured out that Zack had a problem, Damien moved into the 5th cart, because he had the intention to move there (if you need a theory, he was just annoyed of the punks, so he went to a cart where he can't hear them). At any point between this point and the point where Andrew was limping out of the cart, Andrew killed Damien, he then hid the body somewhere in the 5th cart (for example in the overhead space for luggages. Hell! Even a person could fit there).

Also, please clarify (not necessarily in black):
Was the businessman who collided with Andrew in the beginning of the story Terry or Richard?
