The DI had an object hidden on his body, likely in an orifice one would not wish to search. Here's another theory for you to ponder.

Water came out of the shower head, but at such a rate that it would take hours to fill the shower. Whilst you were gone, a small scale earthquake occurred and destroyed up to 3 pillars in the target stack caused a part of the ceiling inside the shower to fall and break the glass from the inside. The DI regained consciousness and then decided to repair the ceiling because he's a tad weird and likes DIY. The woman was another thief who tried to steal the ring before the DI found and poisoned her with something from the bathroom (bleach or something). After realizing his crime, the DI then moved the body into the other room, stole the ring and ran away to start a new life in Cuba.

Besides the fact that I laughed way too hard at the strikethrough:

No natural disasters assisted the story (or occurred during the story) in any way.

The showerhead pressurized the water in the shower to the point where the DI could break a hole in the glass with the water pressure and a hard punch.

There was never a time when the DI could break the shower glass with his bare hands.

The DI had hid a tool inside his mouth which he used to break the glass
The DI kicked the door so it broke (It's not his 'bare hands'!)
A small meteorite fell down through the roof and broke the door
The door was broken earlier, somehow you had missed it when you shut him in, and then the DI simply escaped through the hole that was already there
Ok, I know I am really pushing it with these, but at least we'll get som more pink truths :p

1. There was nothing hidden on the DI.
2. The DI could not possibly break the door by kicking it.

You sealed the shower in such a way that it wasn't possible for the DI to open the door.

the DI rotated the shower head so it was facing the glass. he then turned it onto full heat and waited a bit. he then turned the water to freezing so the glass would then crack under the temperature change (like other stuff does) and then simply bashed it with his shoulder

Also, I immediately follow with another that even answers the womans death:
It was really cold, so some of the water froze to ice. Using an ice shunk, the DI broke the door and then killed the woman with it.

For some reason, the water from the showerhead was pulsing at the resonant frequency of the glass, so when the water came out, the glass broke.

Lol, best theory so far. Very weirdly built showerhead. Still, must be pretty amazing to have shower that could break glass by simply being close :p
